World AIDS Day is a powerful reminder that awareness can save lives, compassion can break barriers, and silence doesn't help anyone.

Today, we honor the fighters, the survivors, and all the stories that often remain untold.

Let this be the day we choose to learn, care, and stand up for a world free of stigma. Every voice, every share, and every act of kindness brings us closer to ending HIV for good. ❤️

A Day to Remember: CICS Teachers’ Day Celebration 2025

Yesterday, October 17, 2025, the College of Information and Computing Sciences Student Council (CICSSC), together with all CICS students, gathered to honor and celebrate our amazing mentors — the heart and soul of our college.

The celebration was filled with laughter, exciting games, and heartfelt moments of appreciation as students expressed their gratitude through simple yet meaningful gifts. It was a day that reminded us how much our teachers mean to us — not just as educators, but as second parents, role models, and guiding lights. ✨

Behind every success story, every line of code that runs, and every dream realized in CICS, there’s always a teacher who believed in us first. Their patience, wisdom, and dedication inspire us to keep learning, growing, and striving for excellence.

To our beloved CICS teachers — thank you for your endless support, unwavering commitment, and the passion you bring into every lesson. Yesterday may have been a day of celebration, but your impact on our lives will truly last a lifetime. 💐

🌾 “Magtanim ay ‘di biro, maghapong nakayuko...” 🌾
Yet through the heat of the sun and the weight of the day, our farmers never give up.

Today, we honor the hands that till the soil, the hearts that keep on believing, and the spirit that feeds a nation. 🍚🌽

Their labor is not just work — it’s a song of sacrifice, hope, and love for the land. Each seed they plant is a promise of life; each harvest, a gift to every Filipino table. ☀️

Let’s continue to support, uplift, and celebrate our farmers — the real heroes who remind us that from the soil comes life, and from their hard work comes our future.

👩‍🌾💚 Mabuhay ang mga magsasaka! Agyaman kami kadakayo amin!

GONZAGA, CAGAYAN — An afternoon of elegance, confidence, and purpose unfolded on September 9, 2025, as the College of Information and Computing Sciences (CICS) staged its annual search for Mr. and Ms. CICS 2025 at the CSU Gonzaga Gymnasium. The event marked the grand highlight of the College Day celebration, drawing cheers and pride from students and faculty alike.

The pageant opened with a lively performance set to Poker Face by Lady Gaga, where candidates immediately captivated the crowd with their stage presence. Dressed in striking red and white streetwear, the contestants delivered an electrifying introduction that set the tone for the afternoon.

More than a showcase of beauty, the competition became a platform for advocacy. Each candidate spoke about causes inspired by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, proving that the pageant was also about responsibility and leadership.

Themed segments followed, each highlighting the creativity and personality of the contenders—from the school uniform presentation that reflected pride in their identity, to the summer wear round that radiated youthful energy, and finally, the formal and evening gown competition that turned the stage into a runway of elegance.

Special awards were conferred throughout the event, recognizing charisma, stage appeal, and individual strengths. These included distinctions for photogenic qualities, ramp modeling, advocacy speeches, attire, and production performance.

One of the most awaited segments was the Q&A Preliminary Round: Picture Analysis, where all candidates were shown images aligned with the SDGs. This tested not only their quick thinking but also their ability to connect their insights with real-life issues. Their answers revealed depth, empathy, and awareness—proving that the competition went beyond charm and poise.

From this round, the Top 3 candidates in both male and female categories advanced to the final phase of the competition, bringing with them the strongest blend of eloquence, advocacy, and stage presence.

The climax of the afternoon came during the Final Question-and-Answer Round, where the finalists eloquently expressed their advocacies and personal beliefs. With confidence and sincerity, they shared answers that touched on leadership, community service, and the role of the youth in shaping a better future. Their thoughtful insights drew admiration from both judges and audience, making the final decision truly challenging.

Before the announcement of winners, reigning titleholders Mr. Simon Kent Leonido and Ms. Ashley Salocon, Mr. & Ms. CICS 2024, made their final walk, receiving warm applause as they passed on the crowns to the next set of ambassadors.
