As the new school year approaches, various departments across the University are actively preparingโ€”including the university canteen. To support these preparations, the (CFSRE) was invited to provide a brief orientation for the canteen staff who handle and prepare the food.

During the session, all canteen employees participated in a comprehensive discussion covering proper food preparation protocols, tracing the complete process from the market to the table. The speakers emphasized essential storage techniques to prevent cross-contamination, ensuring that the meals served to students and staff are not only delicious but also strictly adhere to established food safety standards. Additionally, the staff were provided with clear indicators and warning signs of food contamination to help them identify potential hazards early.

This initiative ensures that all food served in the university canteen remains safe, and fit for consumption.

As we aim to earn income from our own ventures, may we never forget to enhance our awareness of food safety. On behalf of the (ParSU-CFSRE), we thank all the participants who joined us during our first webinar session, with the theme, '๐ต๐‘Ž๐‘๐‘˜ ๐‘ก๐‘œ ๐ต๐‘Ž๐‘ ๐‘–๐‘๐‘ : ๐น๐‘œ๐‘œ๐‘‘ ๐‘†๐‘Ž๐‘“๐‘’๐‘ก๐‘ฆ ๐น๐‘œ๐‘ข๐‘›๐‘‘๐‘Ž๐‘ก๐‘–๐‘œ๐‘›๐‘ .' As mentioned in the webinar, the cause of food contamination and the spread of antimicrobial resistance is largely driven by a lack of awareness and information. This highlights the main goal of ParSU-CFSRE: to inform everyone, especially those working in food production, about the importance of food quality and safety.

As our resource speaker, ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ๐ซ๐ข๐ญ, ๐‘๐Œ๐“, ๐ƒ๐‘๐ƒ๐Œ, ๐’๐Œ๐ข๐œ๐ซ๐จ, said earlier, let's know when to sip and when to skip that samalamig!

Stay tuned for the second webinar session!
