Skills, creativity, and practical knowledge took center stage as Buyo IMPACT Elementary School welcomed learners and teachers from different schools across Goa-I District for the 2026 Goa-I District Technolympics.

The competition featured the different components of EPP (Edukasyong Pantahanan at Pangkabuhayan)β€”Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Agricultural and Fishery Arts (AFA), Family and Consumer Science (FCS), and Industrial Arts (IA). πŸ’»πŸŒΎπŸ³πŸ”§

Through the different challenges and activities, learners were given the opportunity to apply what they have learned in the classroom and demonstrate their creativity, resourcefulness, technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and confidence.

As the host school, BIES is grateful to have been part of an activity that celebrates not only competition, but also the importance of developing practical skills that learners can carry beyond the classroom.

The spirit of scouting came alive as our young scouts from Buyo IMPACT Elementary School participated in the 2026 Boys Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) Goa-I District Encampment, held on September 4–6, 2026, at Salog Elementary School.

The three-day encampment gave our scouts an opportunity to experience the true spirit of scouting through teamwork, discipline, leadership, cooperation, and camaraderie. Beyond the activities and challenges, the event allowed them to learn valuable skills, meet fellow scouts, and create meaningful memories along the way.

Buyo IMPACT Elementary School recently conducted a School Safety and Security Drill as part of our continuing efforts to strengthen preparedness and promote a safe and secure learning environment for our learners and personnel.

The activity provided an opportunity for the school community to review our level of preparedness, strengthen coordination, and reinforce the importance of remaining calm, alert, and responsive during emergency situations.

The activity also highlighted several important recommendations raised during our General PTA Rabus, including:

πŸ”Ή Provision of a metal detector
πŸ”Ή Posting of emergency hotlines in every classroom
πŸ”Ή Strengthening of security checks for individuals entering the school
πŸ”Ή Ensuring reliable internet connectivity for emergency communication
πŸ”Ή Inviting qualified experts for meaningful discussions and awareness activities on school safety and security
πŸ”Ή Installation of CCTV cameras in strategic areas of the schoolβ€”a project proposal for which Ma’am Jane submitted the initial proposal last Tuesday

The Buyo IMPACT Elementary School Children’s Choir is blessed to share their God-given talents in the service of the Church and the community.

Every 4th Sunday of the month, our young choristers serve at St. Martin de Porres Parish Church, lending their voices and talents to the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Through their music, they continue to grow not only as young singers but also as responsible, disciplined, and faith-filled learners.

This meaningful opportunity allows our children to experience the joy of serving others while developing teamwork, commitment, confidence, and love for music and worship.

We are grateful to the parents, choir advisers, school administration, and the parish community for their continued support of our young choristers.
