There were reports that some individuals are calling or texting under the name of the University President and Partido State University to request monetary favors from suppliers and contractors; hence, this precautionary measure. The Partido State University does not authorize such illegal activities that will taint the good name of the President and the University.

The Office of the University President, under the light of recent eventualities where certain personalities purport to be the undersigned and exact amounts of money from unsuspecting entities, hereby admonishes the public not to deal with anyone who purports to be the University President, solicits amounts of money and/or other considerations, or claims any other falsehoods. The undersigned has nothing to do with it, even as he vehemently condemns such acts.

The undersigned implores anyone who receives calls, text messages, or whatsoever purporting to be, coming from, or as that of the undersigned to report the matter immediately to the Office of the University President or to the authorities for proper action.

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒: Electrical eng’g tech studes haul awards in first-ever IGNITE appearance

Thirty-eight electrical engineering students from the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers (IIEE) - ParSU Chapter hauled numerous awards during their first-ever appearance in IGNITE, a regional conference held last April 6-8, 2026 at Sorsogon State University, Sorsogon City.
‎
Marking their debut in the conference, the delegates brought home the 1st runner-up title in the Regional Skills Olympics and 2nd runner-up in the Laro ng Lahi/Amazing Race.
‎
‎They also secured a 3rd runner-up finish in both Mobile Legends ELTC and Men's Basketball Tournament.
‎
‎In an interview with Faith Ann Catimbang, president of IIEE - ParSU Chapter, she described their experience as “memorable and fulfilling.”
‎
‎Catimbang added that their participation in the event showcased the skills and technical competence of the university’s electrical engineering technology students.
‎
‎The conference, themed “IIEE BRIGHTER 2026: Empowering the Future, Illuminating Excellence, and Leading with Humility,” gathered 13 higher education institutions across Bicol.

The ParSU delegation was accompanied by Engr. Jason C. Acayen and Engr. Junet A. Cañamero, both faculty from the College of Engineering and Computational Sciences.

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒: Senior biology studes named finalists in Luzon Reg’l Scientific Meeting
‎
‎Fourth-year BS Biology students from Partido State University earned recognition after being named finalists in the Scientific Poster Presentation category of the 2026 Luzon Regional Scientific Meeting held on April 7–8 in Muntinlupa City.
‎
‎Among the finalists were Maria Gwendyll D. Picaso and Lyka S. Naval, whose study explored the characterization and antimicrobial activity of a type of bacteria isolated from sulfur-infused azupre hot spring in Goa, Camarines Sur, against selected pathogenic microorganisms.
‎
‎Meanwhile, Kaite U. Palmes presented her study that examined the phytochemical properties and potential therapeutic activities of Tagbak rhizome extract.
‎
‎In an interview, Picaso expressed that they were deeply honored to be named among the three finalists representing Bicol region in the Luzon-wide scientific gathering.
‎
‎“This prestigious opportunity allowed us to share our study’s findings on a broader platform, emphasizing not only the scientific significance but also the ecological beauty and potential of Azupre Hot Spring,” she added.
‎
‎Under the theme “UN SDGs: Science, Technology, and Innovation for Sustainable Development,” the event brought together professionals and young researchers to assess Luzon’s progress toward achieving United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This milestone reflects the University’s sustained commitment to responsible financial management, strict compliance with audit standards, and the prudent use of public resources. More than a recognition, it affirms the shared responsibility of the entire ParSU community in ensuring that every process is guided by integrity and good governance.

Behind this achievement is the steady and dedicated work of the Finance Services Division, whose precision and commitment play a crucial role in keeping the University’s financial systems efficient, compliant, and transparent.
