PSHS-Bicol welcomes its aspiring and returning Olympians through the 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗦𝗛𝗦-𝗕𝗥𝗖 𝗢𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 on August 12, 2026, at the PSHS-BRC AVR. The activity brings together scholars who will carry the Pisay-Bicol banner in various academic competitions and Olympiads.

𝗔𝗹𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘇 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀

𝗞𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗩. 𝗔𝗹𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘇 of Philippine Science High School–Bicol Region Campus qualified for the 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 after winning a silver medal in the competition’s Semi-Final Round on July 12 at Balay Kalinaw, UP Balay Internasyunal, University of the Philippines Diliman.

The semi-final round was conducted from 10 a.m. to noon and gathered qualifiers from the Preliminary Round. Alcaraz previously earned a gold medal in the preliminary stage, securing his place in the next level of the lexical skills competition.

With his silver-medal finish, Alcaraz will represent PSHS-BRC in the World Finals at the Ipoh Convention Centre in Ipoh, Malaysia, from August 21 to 24, 2026.

He is coached by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝘆𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗢. 𝗝𝗼𝗮𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗻 of the English Unit.
