Smiles, laughter, and meaningful connections filled the day during our Criminology Days Outreach Program held in Brgy. 23, Gingoog City.

Our criminology students spent time engaging with the children through fun activities, games, and the sharing of simple lessons about safety, respect, and community values. It was truly heartwarming to see the joy on the children’s faces as they participated and bonded with our future law enforcers.

This outreach reminds us that being part of the criminology field is not only about law enforcement, but also about building trust, inspiring the younger generation, and showing care for the community.

Thank you to the children and residents of Brgy. 23, Gingoog City for welcoming us and making our Day 1 of Criminology Days 2026 even more special and memorable.💙

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝟐: 𝐒𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 & 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥

The learning and excitement continued during Day 1 of Criminology Days 2026 with an informative Symposium on “The Role of First Responders.” The session provided Criminology students with valuable knowledge about emergency response, investigation procedures, and the importance of preparedness in law enforcement operations.

The symposium was led by PCpl Lorefe B. Torcino, Polygraph Examiner from the Misamis Oriental Provincial Forensic Unit, who shared her expertise on the crucial role of first responders during emergencies and crime scenes. She emphasized the importance of quick decision-making, proper coordination, and professionalism when responding to incidents.

The event also featured a special discussion and demonstration from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Team, who provided insights into handling explosive threats and ensuring public safety. The team members included:

• PSSg Isagani G. Alguzar Jr. – EOD Technician
• PSSg John Benedict G. Balacuit – EOD Technician
• PSSg Richard M. Salo – Explosive Detection Dog (EDD) Handler
• PMSg Dominic G. Lumbay (Ret.)

Through their presentations and demonstrations, the speakers highlighted the importance of vigilance, specialized training, and teamwork in responding to dangerous situations involving explosives and other threats. The students gained practical insights into the real-life responsibilities and challenges faced by first responders and EOD personnel in protecting communities.

This symposium served as an eye-opening and educational experience, inspiring Criminology students to deepen their commitment to public safety and to prepare themselves for the responsibilities of future law enforcement professionals. 👮‍♂️💣

𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝟏 𝐅𝐔𝐍 𝐑𝐔𝐍🏃

The first day of Criminology Days 2026 kicked off with energy, enthusiasm, and unity as students gathered for the Fun Run held last March 5–6 at Christ the King College.

The morning started with the registration of participants, where students eagerly signed in and prepared themselves for the exciting activity ahead. This was followed by the Opening Remarks delivered by our Program Coordinator, Mr. Ram Christian C. Dalit, RCrim, MSCJE-CAR.

To energize the crowd, participants joined a stretching exercise and Zumba session, filling the venue with enthusiasm and positive vibes. The warm-up activity not only prepared everyone physically but also strengthened the spirit of teamwork among the students.

Finally, the much-anticipated Fun Run officially began, as participants dashed forward with determination and excitement. The event showcased not only speed and endurance but also the unity and sportsmanship of the Criminology community.

Congratulations to our Top 5 Male and Top 5 Female Finishers who demonstrated outstanding performance and determination during the race! 🏅

Indeed, the Fun Run marked a strong and inspiring start to the celebration of Criminology Days 2026, reminding everyone that discipline, health, and teamwork are essential qualities in the journey toward becoming responsible future law enforcers. 💙👮‍♂️

Here are some highlights from our amazing Criminology Days 2026 at Christ the King College last March 5-6, 2026 💙

From the crack of dawn 𝗙𝘂𝗻 𝗥𝘂𝗻🏃‍♂️, to the inspiring 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 & 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗱𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺𝘀 👮‍♂️💣, the brain-teasing 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘇 𝗕𝗲𝗲 🧠, the high-energy 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁🏐, the meaningful 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, and the unforgettable 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁🌟, this year’s celebration was nothing short of spectacular!

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our Criminal Justice Program Head 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗘𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗦. 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀, 𝗥𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺, 𝗠𝗦𝗖𝗝, our Program Coordinator 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗖. On December 12, 2025, 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙆𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙜𝙚, 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙅𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 formally conducted its 𝐁𝐚𝐝𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐠 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, marking a pivotal moment in the academic and professional formation of its cadets. Guided by the theme “𝗘𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲: 𝗔 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵, 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆,” the ceremony underscored the values, discipline, and ethical responsibility inherent in the criminology profession.

The program commenced with the reverent rendition of the Philippine National Anthem, followed by an invocation that fostered a solemn and reflective atmosphere throughout the proceedings. The ceremonial awarding of badges served as a powerful symbol of accountability, dedication, and readiness to uphold the standards of the criminology field.

The occasion was honored by the presence of 𝐏𝐋𝐓. 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐥 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨, who delivered an insightful and motivational address, drawing from his professional experiences to inspire the cadets toward principled leadership and committed public service.

Serving as both a formal recognition and a defining rite of passage, the ceremony reaffirmed the cadets to pursue excellence and integrity. As they advance in their academic and professional journey, 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗴 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 stands prepared to serve with honor, strengthen their competencies, and embody the core ideals of criminology.
