𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆

In line with the advisory of Cavite Governor Abeng Remulla, there will be no face-to-face classes from October 15 to 18, 2025, at all levels. This suspension supports the province-wide Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) surveillance and preparedness efforts for “The Big One.”

During this period, classes will be held synchronously online to ensure the continuity of learning. Furthermore, please be advised that midterm examinations will be moved to November 3 to 8, 2025.

An exploratory meeting with Swiss Pharma Research Laboratories, Inc. marked a significant milestone for Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Cavite as it explored potential collaborations in research and development. The visit was graced by Mr. Benjamin Tantiansu, President and CEO of Swiss Pharma Research Laboratories, Inc., accompanied by Ms. Natalie Gerundio, the company’s business consultant. They were warmly welcomed by Dr. Maria Teresa O. Pilapil, Vice President for Administration; Dr. Mark Irvin C. Celis, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Dr. Catherine Cababa, Dean of the College of Allied Medical Sciences.

Held on January 9, 2025, the meeting served as a platform to discuss the scope of collaboration between Swiss Pharma and LPU Cavite. Discussions focused on fostering partnerships aligned with the university’s goals of academic excellence and innovation in research. Key initiatives included joint research projects, faculty and student development. Specific plans were outlined to facilitate faculty immersion programs for enhanced industry exposure and practical knowledge and to provide on-the-job training opportunities for BS Pharmacy and BS Biology students.

Dr. Pilapil emphasized the importance of bridging academia and industry through such partnerships. Dr. Celis highlighted how this collaboration aligns with LPU Cavite's vision of producing globally competitive graduates, while Dr. Cababa expressed optimism about its potential to elevate the College of Allied Medical Sciences' research capabilities and curriculum.

Mr. Tantiansu and Ms. Gerundio conveyed their enthusiasm for the partnership, commending LPU Cavite’s forward-thinking approach and commitment to innovation. They also underscored Swiss Pharma’s dedication to advancing research that addresses global health challenges.

This exploratory meeting marks the beginning of a promising partnership. Both parties expressed intent to further discussions and finalize plans in the coming months, ensuring mutual growth and impactful contributions to the pharmaceutical and academic sectors.

As LPU Cavite continues to strengthen its ties with global institutions, this collaboration with Swiss Pharma Research Laboratories, Inc. signifies a step forward in achieving excellence in education, research, and community engagement. Together, they aim to make significant strides in shaping the future of healthcare and allied sciences.

The LPU Cavite College of Nursing was honored with a plaque of appreciation by the Center for Health and Development – CALABARZON, in collaboration with the Office of the Provincial Health Officer – Cavite. The award, presented on August 20, 2024, at the Bayleaf Hotel, recognized the college’s outstanding contribution to the Bivalent Oral Polio Vaccine Catch-Up and Supplemental Immunization Activity 2024.
