Innovation, strategy, and engineering excellence collided during the exciting 𝐒𝐔𝐌O𝐁𝐎𝐓𝐒 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄𝐁𝐎𝐓𝐒 competition hosted by the LPU Cavite - College of Engineering and Architecture. The event brought together aspiring engineers from the Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering programs in a showcase of robotics, automation, and intelligent design.

Students demonstrated their technical expertise through the design, fabrication, programming, and control of their robots as they competed in intense robotic battles inside the arena. The competition highlighted interdisciplinary collaboration, combining mechanical design, electronics integration, embedded systems, automation, and problem-solving skills in real-time engineering challenges.

From strategic sumobot clashes to high-energy battlebot encounters, the event served as a platform for experiential learning and innovation, allowing students to apply engineering concepts beyond the classroom. 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐁𝐎𝐓𝐒 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄𝐁𝐎𝐓𝐒 reflected the creativity, teamwork, and ingenuity of future Lycean engineers committed to advancing robotics and emerging technologies.

Faculty members from the College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) of LPU Cavite were recognized during the Research Excellence Awards 2026 for their successful publication of research papers in internationally indexed Scopus journals, further strengthening the college’s commitment to research excellence and global academic engagement.

The recognition was awarded by the Center for Research and Development headed by Ms. Kimberly Joy Alcaraz during the culmination program of the LPU Cavite Research Week held last May 15, 2026. The awarding ceremony highlighted the outstanding research contributions of faculty members whose scholarly works gained international visibility through Scopus-indexed publications.

The award serves as a testament to the dedication, innovation, and scholarly excellence of CEA faculty members in advancing research that contributes to engineering, architecture, technology, and sustainable development. Their achievements also reflect the institution’s continuing efforts to foster a strong research culture aligned with international standards and academic quality assurance.

Through these accomplishments, the College of Engineering and Architecture continues to strengthen its position as a research-driven academic community committed to producing globally competitive educators, researchers, and professionals.

The United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary (UAPSA) – Lyceum of the Philippines University-Cavite Chapter successfully organized DIALOGO+, an architectural symposium themed “Advancing Green Thinking in Architecture and Design,” held on May 13, 2026 at the LPU Cavite University Auditorium.

The symposium gathered architecture students, faculty members, and aspiring design professionals for a meaningful exchange of ideas on sustainability, resilient construction, and environmentally responsible architecture. Anchored on the growing global demand for sustainable development, the event highlighted the vital role of architects in shaping greener and smarter communities.

Esteemed industry professionals and architecture leaders served as guest speakers during the event, including:

Throughout the symposium, students gained deeper appreciation of green architecture principles, sustainable urban planning, and the integration of modern technologies in architectural practice. The discussions also encouraged future architects to become advocates of environmental stewardship and socially responsible design.

DIALOGO+ reflects the continuous commitment of the College of Engineering and Architecture and the UAPSA-LPU Cavite Chapter in providing relevant academic activities that strengthen professional growth, creativity, and industry awareness among architecture students.

As sustainability becomes increasingly essential in the built environment, the symposium served as an avenue for empowering future Lycean architects to lead transformative and resilient architectural solutions for generations to come.

CEA Aeronautical Engineering students recently conducted an engaging introduction to drone technology for Senior High School (SHS) students, showcasing the growing role of unmanned aerial systems in modern aviation and engineering.

The activity aimed to spark interest among SHS students in the field of Aeronautical Engineering by providing them with hands-on exposure to drone operations, applications, and emerging aerospace technologies. During the session, Aeronautical Engineering students discussed the fundamentals of drone flight, basic aerodynamics, safety protocols, and the various real-world applications of drones in industries such as aerial mapping, agriculture, surveillance, logistics, disaster response, and environmental monitoring.

The interactive demonstration allowed SHS students to witness actual drone flight operations and understand how technology and innovation are transforming the future of aviation. The event also highlighted the importance of engineering, creativity, and problem-solving in developing modern aerospace solutions.

Through initiatives like this, the College of Engineering and Architecture continues to promote experiential learning and inspire the next generation of future engineers, innovators, and aviation professionals. The activity also reflects the college’s commitment to advancing STEM education and preparing students for the rapidly evolving world of aerospace and drone technology.
