No more worries about the transportation service everytime there are competitions, affairs, and other Deped- related tasks and activities conducted in another places for the WEST HIGH community as the school received a brand- new van from the Gen. Trias City Anti- Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) during the vehicle turnover ceremony held last February 20, 2023 at Gen. Trias City Park.
Through the initiative of the City Mayor Luis "Jon- Jon" A. Ferrer IV and the rest of the city leaders, several Mitsubishi L300 vans were turned to all the public schools in the city which can be used not only as a primary service transportation for the learners in official events but also for the school personnel in attending seminars, official meetings, and other school- related tasks to ensure the welfare of the school community againts the danger of drugs, violence and abuse.
"There are 35 units of L300 van in total, and all were distributed to public elementary, junior, and senior high schools," explained Dr. Leah Anne A. Misenas, Senior Education Program Specialist- Social Mobilization and Unit.
The school principal, Mrs. Marilie C. Dimapilis, expressed her heart- felt gratitude and appreciation to this gesture of the city leaders and committed to guarantee that the school vehicle will be well taken- care of and will be used according to its purpose.
"This vehicle can be used only to the activities allowed by the school. It can't be used for personal, recreational, or any undocumented travels and affairs," Dimapilis added.
As of now, the school service is bound to fetch the winning student- atheletes who are to compete in the City Meet 2023 starting February 25, 2023.
