GENERAL TRIAS CITY, August 15, 2026 — The Schools Division of General Trias City gathered SDO officials, school heads, tournament managers, coaches, and sports officials for the 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫’𝐬 𝐂𝐮𝐩 – 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 (𝐌𝐂-𝐆𝐓𝐂𝐀𝐀𝐌) 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, held at Luis A. Ferrer National High School, Sta. Clara, General Trias City.

Carrying the theme, “𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝑨𝒕𝒉𝒍𝒆𝒕𝒆, 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑: 𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂 𝑳𝒆𝒈𝒂𝒄𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒔 𝑬𝒙𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆", the solidarity meeting aimed to strengthen coordination, establish a unified understanding of tournament guidelines, and ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the upcoming athletic competitions.

The program commenced with the Philippine National Anthem and Opening Prayer led by the MCES Teachers' Choir, followed by the acknowledgement of participants by Bienvenido C. Ferrer, Jr., PSDS and Division Sports Officer.

An Inspirational Message was delivered by Dr. Ivan Brian L. Inductivo, CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendent, who underscored the significant role of sports in developing discipline, teamwork, resilience, sportsmanship, and excellence among young athletes.

The participants were also oriented on the purpose and activity overview by Dr. Ines L. Inocencio, Chief of the School Governance and Operations Division, followed by the Breakout mechanics led by Dr. Eduarda M. Zapanta, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division.

Recognizing the importance of athlete welfare and safe competition, Dra. Mary Grace E. Javier, Medical Officer III, discussed essential medical concerns and reminders. Meanwhile, Ms. Rencio O. Majillo, LRPO Focal, provided guidance on LRPO concerns, ensuring that participants were properly informed of relevant policies and protocols.

The meeting proceeded with the transfer of participants to their assigned venues, facilitated by Erwin A. Asuqui, Education Program Supervisor–MAPEH. Participants then attended their respective sport- and event-specific breakout sessions led by the tournament managers.

During the breakout sessions, coaches, officials, and tournament managers discussed important matters concerning officiating mechanics, competition formats, ground rules, and protest procedures. These discussions provided an opportunity to clarify procedures and promote consistency in the implementation of the different sporting events.

More than a preparatory gathering, the Sports Solidarity Meeting served as a reminder that sporting excellence is achieved through strong partnerships, clear coordination, shared responsibility, and unwavering support for every athlete.

Strengthening Quality Education through collaboration and continuous professional support!

Parklane Elementary School proudly welcomed the Division monitoring and technical assistance team composed of EPS in MAPEH Sir Erwin Asugui, EPS in GMRC/ALS Sir Rizal Vidallo, and EPS in Araling Panlipunan/Madrasah Mam Yolanda D.C. Lumanog.

The team conducted school monitoring and provided technical assistance to our School Key Teachers—Sir Joseph Asis (MAPEH), Mam Rachel Deocareza (Araling Panlipunan), and Mam Gevewin Fermin (GMRC).

Master Teachers Sir Rusel Anacay, Mam Merlyn Soliven, and Mam Analyn Dimaranan also presented during the monitoring and actively participated in the technical assistance session, gaining valuable insights and recommendations to further strengthen teaching and learning practices.

Under the leadership of Dr. Virgie T. Taccad, School Principal I, Parklane Elementary School remains committed to fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement in delivering quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education.

School Monitoring and Technical Assistance | July 28, 2026

Today, the school monitoring and technical assistance for the learning areas of MAPEH, Araling Panlipunan/Madrasah, and Values Education was conducted. The activity aimed to assess the implementation of the curriculum, strengthen instructional delivery, and provide professional support to teachers through meaningful feedback and collaborative discussions, all in pursuit of continuous school improvement and quality basic education.

San Francisco Elementary School extends its heartfelt appreciation to our Education Program Supervisors for their meaningful monitoring, valuable insights, and technical guidance extended to our school today:

IN PHOTOS | South Teachers Receives Technical Assistance for PE and SNED

Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. South Senior High School welcomed Mr. Erwin A. Asugui, EPS–MAPEH, Ms. Annie Maraan, EPS–SNED, together with Dr. Christopher A. Luna, PSDS–Cluster 8, who visited the school to provide technical assistance to our teachers.

The technical assistance was extended to Ms. Erika Ann H. Garcia, PE Teacher, and Ms. Jhungco A. Perez, SNED Coordinator, with the support of School Head Mr. Ruben S. Montoya.

During the visit, the teachers successfully presented the required documents, including the Budget of Work, ILAW Format Lesson Plan, Action Plan, and Sports Club Communication Plan for PE, and the Individualized Education Program (IEP) for SNED. They also received valuable technical assistance and recommendations to further improve and strengthen these documents.

𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗘𝗣𝗦‑𝗠𝗔𝗣𝗘𝗛

Lucio A. Nocon National High School (LANNHS) received technical assistance from Mr. Erwin A. Asugui, Education Program Supervisor (EPS) in MAPEH, together with Dr.Christopher A. Luna, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) of Cluster 8. During the monitoring, Ms. Clarissa P. Ambion, key teacher of the MAPEH Department, presented the required documents.

Mr. Erwin A. Asugui inquired about the references used by the MAPEH teachers, the learning competencies, and the ILAW lesson plan prepared by the department. Ms. Cherry Mae B. Ruanto, School Head, presented the lesson plan online through the school’s website, which Mr. Asugui commended as a commendable practice since it promotes a paperless system. He further praised the MAPEH teachers for effectively applying the knowledge and strategies they had gained from the recent seminar they attended.

Ms. Ambion also introduced Project SALIW, a school‑based program under the division initiative Project SHAPE. Project SALIW forms part of the Action Plan of the MAPEH Department and provides learners with one day of physical activity or recreation, ensuring that students remain fit for learning and supporting their holistic development.

The Schools Division Office of General Trias City
officially launched the 𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑪𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒖𝒔 today, July 16, 2026, at the SDO Multi-Purpose Hall, marking another significant step toward promoting a healthier and more holistic learning environment for both learners and educators.

The program opened with welcome remarks from Dr. Eduarda M. Zapanta, Chief of the Curriculum and Implementation Division, followed by the acknowledgment of participants and statement of purpose led by Erwin A. Asugui, Education Program Supervisor in MAPEH. An inspirational message was delivered by Dr. Ivan Brian L. Inductivo, CESO VI, Schools Division Superintendent, who emphasized the importance of wellness initiatives in strengthening school communities. The program mechanics of the Nestle Wellness Campus Program and its different contests were discussed by Mr. Raphael Orlina, Regional Operations Manager of the Nestlé Wellness Campus Program – CALABARZON. The event concluded with a closing message from Dr. Ines Inocencio, Chief of School Governance and Operations Division.

The Wellness Campus Division Launching reflects the strong partnership between the Department of Education and Nestlé, united in their commitment to fostering healthy habits, wellness awareness, and sustainable practices in schools across General Trias City.

Through this initiative, SDO General Trias City continues to empower its schools to become centers of learning that nurture not only academic excellence but also the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of every member of the school community.

As part of the Adopt-A-Gym partnership, sports equipment was turned over to beneficiary schools namely 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐀𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐲 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐠𝐨 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥, and 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥. The support aims to enhance Physical Education classes, strengthen school sports programs, and provide learners with greater opportunities to develop teamwork, discipline, and healthy lifestyles.

Anchored on the theme “𝙏𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙧, 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨,” the launch of Projects SHAPE and ISSHED/BUKLOD reflects the division’s commitment to holistic development by integrating arts, physical education, health, and community partnership. Through the collective efforts of schools, stakeholders, and the Adopt-A-Gym program, SDO General Trias City continues to create inclusive and engaging learning environments that nurture physically fit, resilient, and well-rounded learners.
