West High, under the leadership of Mrs. Marilie C. Dimapilis, Principal I, and Dr. Christopher A. Luna, PSDSโCluster 8, proudly celebrated its 11th Araw ng Pag-angat through the successful conduct of the Grade 10 Moving Up Ceremony at the General Trias City Convention Center.
Anchored on the theme โPilipinong Nagsipagtapos: Handang Mamuno nang May Kakayahan at Mabuting Pagkatao,โ the event marked a meaningful and inspiring milestone in the lives of the learners as they completed a significant chapter of their academic journey.
The program commenced with a processional, followed by solemn preliminaries. The National Anthem was conducted by Mrs. Leilanie R. Delos Santos, MAPEH Teacher, while the Panunumpa sa Watawat was led by Karl David B. Macabingkil (Grade 10โDescartes). The doxology was performed by Angel Royalyn C. Mahinay (Grade 10โDescartes), Roi Rossi P. Mejica (Grade 10โAristotle), Norhanna A. Maca-agir (Grade 10โAristotle), and Mc Johan C. Cruza (Grade 10โEinstein). This was followed by the singing of the General Trias Hymn, conducted by Ms. Anacris A. Andres, AP Teacherโsetting a tone of unity, faith, and pride.
A heartfelt message was delivered on behalf of Hon. Jonas Glyn P. Labuguen by Mrs. Rowena Demotica, expressing gratitude for the guidance and blessings received throughout the school year. The opening remarks was then given by Justin R. Briones (Grade 10โEinstein, With High Honors), who warmly welcomed the attendees.
Facilitated by Mr. Edmon R. Estrella, Master of Ceremonies, the program proceeded with an inspiring message from the guest speaker, Atty. Jesse Raphael R. Grepo. He emphasized that true success is built not only on knowledge and skills but also on integrity and strong character.
This school year, a total of 639 Grade 10 learners (334 male and 295 female) successfully completed the requirements for moving up. Their completion was duly affirmed by Dr. Rogin O. Contemprato, CESE, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, and Dr. Christopher A. Luna, Public Schools District Supervisor.
Behind every medal, certificate, and recognition lies a story of perseverance, hard work, and determination. This occasion not only celebrated achievements but also offered a hopeful glimpse into the bright future that awaits each completer. As highlighted in the message of Kateleen Mae O. Viloria (Grade 10โLisker, With High Honors), โHiraya Manawariโmay your aspirations continue to soar and come to life.โ
The ceremony also featured the Panunumpa ng Katapatan, led by Kier Laurence L. Manalo (Grade 10โAristotle, With High Honors).
In a touching tribute, the Grade 10 learners performed their final intermission numberโsinging and dancing to the song โHirayaโโas an expression of gratitude to their parents and teachers. The program concluded with closing remarks from Ryan D. Manesca, Grade 10 Council Head.
The success of the event was made possible through the dedication and collaboration of the Grade 10 Council and advisers, the Technical Working Group composed of teaching and non-teaching personnel, and the event organizers.
The program was meticulously prepared through rigorous rehearsals led by Mr. Lamberto C. Claveria, Master Teacher I in Science, and Mrs. Janine Alyanna A. Claveria, Mathematics Teacher. The team also included 12 marshals headed by Mr. Reynald T. Salaรฑo, TLE Teacher, and four photojournalists who documented the occasion.
Once again, congratulations to all Grade 10 completers! May you continue to dream big, strive harder, and inspire others along the way.
