Through this meaningful gathering, we were reminded that being a woman is not only about enduring challenges, but also about rising above them with confidence, dignity, and purpose. This event was not just about gloryfying femenism, it became a space for learning, awareness, and action. EmpowerHER not only reminded us of the strength in uplifting one another as women, but also equipped us with vital knowledge on the importance of Emergency Preparedness and HIV Awareness.

Because empowering women means preparing them—not just to rise, but to face challenges with confidence, resilience, and informed minds.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐮 𝐏. 𝐋𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨, for her unwavering support and continuous encouragement of student-initiated activities. Your guidance and leadership greatly inspired us to conduct meaningful programs that promote empowerment and student welfare.

On March 26, 2026, the Central Student Government (CSG), represented by President Justine Camado and the Secretary for Women and Equalities, actively participated in the seminar entitled “EmpowerHER: Promoting Gender-Responsive Health, Wellness, and Life-Saving Skills.”

The event was organized by the CvSU - Gen. Trias City Gender & Development in partnership with the Malabon Grande - CVSU Gentri Red Cross Youth Council, in celebration of Women’s Month 2026.

The seminar featured four distinguished speakers who enriched the participants’ knowledge on various topics, including HIV prevention and gender-responsive health practices, mental and physical wellness, essential life-saving skills and fire prevention and emergency preparedness—providing valuable insights that inspire awareness, preparedness, and empowerment.

This initiative aimed to strengthen awareness on gender-responsive healthcare, promote overall wellness, and equip participants with essential life-saving skills—empowering individuals, especially women, to become proactive advocates of health, safety, and equality within the community.

Through active participation in initiatives like this, the CSG continues its commitment to promoting inclusive leadership, gender sensitivity, and student empowerment.

Cavite State University — General Trias City Campus’ Office of the Curriculum and Instruction in collaboration with the Campus Gender and Development (GAD) Unit, successfully conducted the seminar “Gender-Responsive Institutions: Strengthening GAD Integration in Teaching and Campus Services” on March 12, 2026 at the CCAT Hostel, CvSU — CCAT Campus.
The activity aimed to strengthen the awareness and understanding of Gender and Development (GAD) principles among educators and to promote the integration of gender-responsive practices in teaching, learning resources, assessment tools, and campus services. Through this initiative, the campus continues to reinforce its commitment to creating an inclusive, equitable, and responsive learning environment that recognizes and respects diversity in the academic community.
The seminar featured insightful discussions from distinguished speakers who shared their expertise and practical perspectives on gender-responsive education. Mr. Richard P. Perez led the morning session on Gender-Responsive Learning Resources Preparation, highlighting the importance of developing instructional materials that are inclusive, balanced, and free from gender bias. His discussion emphasized how thoughtfully designed learning resources can promote equality and representation in the classroom. In the afternoon sessions, Dr. Alelie B. Diato discussed Gender-Responsive Assessment Tools Preparation and Education, underscoring the role of fair and inclusive assessment strategies that recognize diverse learning experiences and perspectives. Meanwhile, Asst. Prof. Roncesvalle J. Caipang presented Gender-Responsive Orientation and Reorientation of Institutional Policies and Guidelines, stressing the importance of aligning institutional practices and policies with gender-responsive frameworks to ensure that inclusivity is embedded not only in teaching but also in campus governance and services.
The campus extends its sincere appreciation to all our distinguished speakers for generously sharing their expertise and valuable insights during the seminar. Profound gratitude is also extended to the Campus Administrator, Prof. Marilou P. Luseco, the Gender and Development (GAD) Unit Coordinator, Dr. Victoriano P. Barliso, the GAD Alternate Coordinator, Mr. Edison S. De Los Santos, the OCI and AFSS Coordinator, Asst. Prof. Roncesvalle J. Caipang, the Human Resource Coordinator, Ms. Kaycelyn Marjorie Gambon, and the moderator of the seminar, Mr. Jordan John Cabarles, for their invaluable leadership, guidance, and support in making this seminar possible.
