We feel the eagerness and excitement from you to be part of the contests that we have in English Festival of Talents 2021 and Reading Month Celebration! 🌟

With this, we would like to inform you that the submission of entries will be extended up to the next retrieval (November 29).

You can send your entries to your English teachers or submit hard copy on our scheduled retrieval.

We hope to receive at least one representative per grade level and section for each contest.

📣 MECHANICS: 📣

1. The competition is open to all students and their family members of Luis Y. Ferrer Jr. West National High School.

2. All prospective contestants shall register online at
(https://forms.gle/51WsJzcpNDDUJ2GC8) or simply scan the QR Code:

3. The entry shall be tandem storytelling performed by a Parent (Mother or Father) and his/her child. Only two members of the family are allowed to participate and one (1) entry is allowed per family.

4. Entry must be a storytelling video and must be told in Filipino or English.

5. The book must be featured in the video. The storytellers shall mention the title, author, illustrator, and publisher of the book.

6. The use of props, costumes, graphics and video editing applications are allowed.

7. The video must not exceed 8 minutes and must be submitted in mp4 format with 480p resolution.

8. Entry should be submitted to the advisers on or before November 24, 2021, Wednesday, 5:00 PM.

9. Awarding of prizes and certificates will be during the Awarding and Closing Ceremony of Reading Month and Book week Celebration on November 30, 2021 (Tuesday).

10. The criteria for judging will be as follows:

✒️Storytelling Technique
- The storytelling should have voice projection, animated actions and interactions - 50%

✒️Creativity and visual presentation
- Adherence to the technical requirements and contain elements that are creatively and correctly used (i.e. text, illustrations, etc.)- 40%

✒️Synchronization
- Chorus lines are delivered as if talking to the audience; same eagerness; same movements or choreography- 10%

📣 MECHANICS: 📣

1. A student participant should submit 2 photos of himself/herself dressed up as any literary character in half and a full body shot before November 19, 2020.

2. The student participant may use camera effects to enhance the quality of the photo but must not use editing applications to make adjustments with the design and overall look of the costume/dress.

3. Since it is a photo liking contest, the photos submitted will be uploaded to the official FB page of the school so, a parent's consent letter allowing the use of the photo is needed to be submitted along with the pictures.

4. The liking contest will begin on November 19, 2021, at 8:00 am and will end on November 21, 2021, at 12:00pm.

5. Only the "WOW" reaction will be counted as an official vote.

6. The first three (3) to get the greatest number of "WOW" reactions shall be awarded as Champion, 1st Runner-Up, and 2nd Runner-Up.
