The new guidelines on CPR.
When and how to use an AED (defibrillator) ?
AED stands for Automated External Defibrillator. These are the deficits that are publicly accessible.
▶️ Use an AED as soon as it is available!
▶️ Open it, some unit starts automatically!
▶️ Follow the acoustic and visual instructions / voice instructions!
▶️ Attach the electrode pads as indicated (pictogram, see photo) on the naked and dry upper body!
▶️ When several assistants are present, do not interrupt the cardiac massage to apply the electrodes!
▶️ The defibrillator automatically analyzes the electrical activity of the heart muscle cells and then tells you whether a shock is recommended or not!
▶️ Attention! For the analysis and (if necessary) the shock, do not touch the patient!
▶️ Some AED’s (fully automated) release the shock automatically, some devices (semi-automatic) do not. You have to press a button for this!
▶️ After the shock, resume chest compression
▶️ Follow the additional instructions of the AED!
Every second counts - you can save lives!

Know the signs of stroke
Today is World Stroke Day
Every second counts when it comes to stroke. Learn the signs, share them, and help save lives.
Know the F.A.S.T. warning signs of stroke:
F – Face drooping: One side of the face may droop or feel numb. Ask the person to smile — is it uneven?
A – Arm weakness: One arm may be weak or numb. Ask them to raise both arms — does one drift downward?
S – Speech difficulty: Slurred speech or trouble speaking clearly. Can they repeat a simple sentence?
T – Time to call 911: If you notice any of these signs, call emergency services immediately.
💙 Let’s raise awareness and take action.
