IN PHOTOS: MAPEH Department successfully conducted a three-day Learning Action Cell (LAC) session entitled "Strengthening Curriculum Implementation through Effective ILAW Lesson Planning."
On the first day, Jessie Mendoza, Master Teacher I, discussed the process of unpacking learning competencies, helping teachers better understand how to align learning objectives with learners' needs and curriculum standards. Meanwhile, Joshua Rudolf Francisco, Teacher IV, discussed DepEd Order No. 16, s. 2026, the Guidelines on Lesson Planning and Learning Design, and introduced the ILAW Framework. He explained how the framework helps teachers develop organized, learner-centered, and curriculum-aligned lesson plans that promote meaningful learning experiences.
On the second day, teachers worked asynchronously on developing their ILAW lesson plans, applying the concepts and strategies discussed during the LAC session.
On the third day, teachers presented their ILAW lesson plans as their outputs, followed by a collaborative sharing of teaching strategies, insights, and constructive feedback. This activity provided an opportunity to learn from one another, reflect on best practices, and further strengthen instructional planning.
Through collaboration, reflection, and continuous professional learning, the MAPEH Department remains committed to enhancing teaching practices and delivering quality education for every learner.
