I look forward to this 3-month journey with the Lay Ministry Volunteers of the Diocese of Imus.

As we begin, I hold on to this line by AC MN as a lovely reminder, "The God who calls is the same God who gifts." May these volunteers, who said yes to God's call, be gifted bountifully in this journey. ❤️

Thank you Lay Formation Office - Diocese of Imus for this partnership.

What happens when women come together?
A wave of resonance,
a boost of encouragement, and
a jolt of empowerment.

I am honored to hear the stories of these women—stories of courage, resilience, and hope. Some carry weights that are hard to put down. Some carry hurt from needs long unmet. Yet each one holds a desire to write a better story for herself—one filled with joy and peace.

Thank you, ladies for allowing me to be part of your reflection. Remember, "You have the right and agency to meet your needs."
Thank you Kanlungan Cafe, for co-creating this space. 💐

Happy Friday! 🌱

Today’s reminder is about being attuned to our inner state.

With all the noise, it's easy to lose touch with what is happening within. Yet our thoughts, emotions, and energy shape how the presence we offer others.

We can care for our internal state by:
- pausing and slowing down,
- allowing moments of silence, and
- praying.

How might you create a little space for silence, pause, or prayer today?

This is your sign for a Self-care Saturday! See you!

Happy International Women’s Day. 🌸

This is my second year serving as Director of Research for ICF Philippines. If you had asked me ten years ago whether I imagined this path, I probably would have asked you back, “What’s ICF Philippines?”

Truthfully, I am far from the career path I first imagined.

Back then, I only knew a few things about myself.
I knew I wanted something different from the usual leadership ladder.
I wanted to keep my creativity and energy alive.
I wanted to stay close to the frontliners.

I didn’t know how it would happen.
But I believed it was possible.

Fast forward to today, and I realize I’ve quietly shattered two glass ceilings:
that once a teacher, you’ll always only be a teacher…
and that stepping away from full-time work is reserved for a select few.

Today, my work looks different, but the heart of it remains the same — learning, listening, and walking alongside people.

So today, I celebrate women who are creating paths that didn’t exist before.
Women who follow quiet nudges even when the destination isn’t clear.
Women who are brave enough to imagine a life beyond the boxes handed to them.

May we continue to break ceilings, open doors, and build spaces where more women can rise. 💐

I came into yesterday’s Nonviolent Communication session expecting to learn about anger.
Instead, I learned about self-empathy, connection, and deep listening. ✨

I was wonderfully reminded that I am beautiful—and so is everyone else.
I shed a layer, did the dance, and allowed myself to be vulnerable in the circle, among fellow beautiful beings who showed up ready to feel and to listen.

It was a space filled with pauses, honest emotions, curiosity, and thoughtful questions, all wrapped in laughter and warm energy.

I am blessed to be part of a community of people who are works in progress, like me, and who are willing to keep doing the work—with empathy and compassion.

Thank you Amina for setting this space. Thank you NVC peers for "seeing me beautiful". I see you, all too, beautiful! 🥹

Happy Friday!

Today’s reminder is simple:
✨ Rest your mind.
✨ Feed your soul.

In a world that constantly asks us to move faster and do more, may we find the courage to slow down.

May we create—rather than wait for—the opportunities to gift these to ourselves. ❤️

Offering the next Friday Life Reminders as gentle reflections for Lent.

Today, I remind myself of what it means to be holy.
Not perfect, but willing.
Not flawless, but always returning to love and truth.
Not earned through my actions, but received through God’s grace.

We are reminded that holiness lives not just in what we do, but in what it means —
to be a person for others,
to forgive,
to be kind,
and to trust in God. ✨
