Today, April 9, 2026, marks the 84th anniversary of the Fall of Bataan—a significant moment in history when Filipino and American forces surrendered to the Japanese after months of resistance despite limited weapons, ammunition, and supplies.

This year’s Araw ng Kagitingan and Philippine Veterans Week carries the theme, “Giting ng Bayani, Pamana sa Salinlahi,” which highlights how the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of Filipino veterans continue to serve as a lasting legacy for future generations.

The theme underscores the importance of remembering and sharing the stories of those who defended the nation, ensuring that their values—love of country, resilience, and selfless service—remain alive and continue to inspire Filipinos today and in the years ahead.

Through remembrance, education, and active participation, Filipinos—especially the youth—play a vital role in preserving the legacy of our veterans, keeping their heroism alive as a source of inspiration and national pride for generations to come.

Another milestone in educational excellence has been achieved by Ms. Jocelyn T. Sotto, who proudly graduated with a Doctor of Education, Major in Educational Management, from Philippine Christian University, Dasmariñas, Cavite, on March 13, 2026. Truly inspiring!

Just days later, two teachers from Pasong Kawayan II Elementary School successfully completed the WAGI in ARAL Masterclass on Special Needs Education on March 16, 2026. This specialized program, designed to enhance literacy instruction and pedagogical skills for public school teachers, was sponsored by Hon. Luis A. Ferrer IV, our beloved Mayor of General Trias City, and concluded at LPU Cavite.

Over 150 teachers from the Schools Division Office of General Trias City participated in this intensive training. A completion ceremony was held at the LPU Cavite auditorium to honor the accomplishments of these dedicated educators.

Magandang araw po sa lahat!

Mula sa Pasong Kawayan II Elementary School, kami po ay taos-pusong humihingi ng paumanhin sa naging kakulangan sa aming nakaraang event, sa kung ano man pong pangyayare na hinid inaasahan.

Sa aming School Head, na walang sawang pag-gabay, pagsuporta sa ibat ibang gawain. Hinid mangyayare ang lahat ng ito kung wala kayo. Maraming salamat po!

Lubos po naming kinikilala at pinahahalagahan ang inyong oras, suporta, at pakikiisa na siyang naging dahilan ng tagumpay ng ating programa. Salamat po sa suporta Ma’am Gerlie Gonzaga sa pagtulong upang makahanap ng lugar na pagdadausan ng ating programa at sa suporta sa pagpuno ng aming kakulangan. Kami po ay nagpapasalamat mula sa kaibuturan ng aming puso.

Higit na pasasalamat mula sa mga staff na nagbigay oras upang tulungan na maiayos ang lahat Marina sa isang maayos at Magandang lugar para sa aming programa. Maraming salamat po.

Humihingi po kami ng pang-unawa at ipinapangako na mas pagbubutihin pa namin ang aming mga susunod na gawain upang mas maipakita ang nararapat na pagpapahalaga sa bawat isa.
