While planning our week, I started with a question: "What is my now?" Just a simple practice to ground us in the present moment. Then I stepped away for a minute... bathroom break muna. 😅
Pagbalik ko… Tadaaaah!
Parang magic... my quiet planning suddenly turned into a little vision for our week.
Macie told me, with excitement, that she wants to sell lemonade and cookies.
I honestly don’t know yet how we’ll make it happen 🤔🙄🙄
…but that’s what I love about Lifeschooling... following their ideas, supporting their spark, letting real life become their classroom.
So it looks like a new adventure is joining our “Sell Something Saturday.” 😊

Our Monday... no main lesson day. We call it our planning day... short and sweet. We watched our previous activities and laughed at our pictures. 😁
It’s also a time to recall what went well and what they enjoyed in our learning journey, as well as to bravely share what didn’t go so well. 😂 I found out that I talk too much 😅 and sometimes they just need simpler explanations. 😁
We also talked about what we’re excited for in our next journey.
This new month is another adventure for us. We’ll continue our journey with numbers.. our Math Block and see where it takes us next. 😊

IT STARTED WITH A DOT
We joined a virtual event with Boston Kids and Peter H. Reynolds, the author of the well-loved and best-selling book The Dot.
It was such a joy to watch and participate together... to hear his heart behind the story and celebrate creativity with kids from around the world.
The Dot, which inspired International Dot Day, the global celebration of creativity — has been celebrated by over 26 million teachers, librarians, and students in more than 200 countries.
The story tells of a caring teacher who inspires Vashti - a reluctant student who believes she can’t draw, to be brave enough to “just make a mark and see where it takes you.”
A beautiful reminder for us in homeschooling and life.... that every small mark, every brave try, is a step toward discovering our own unique creativity. 🌈

IT STARTED WITH YOGURT 🥣
Sometimes the best lessons don’t come from books... they come from random kwentuhan with your kids. 🥰
Ang saya lang... minsan ang sarap lang makipag-kwentuhan with your kids tapos hindi nila namamalayan nagiging learning na. 😁
Nag-start ang usapan sa yogurt, “Paano ba ginagawa ang yogurt?”
Tapos out of nowhere, napunta sa Disneyland, then to “How much do we need for a Disneyland experience?” 😄
Hanggang sa naging curious sila…
“How much is Yen to Peso?”
Then tuloy-tuloy na...
“How much if we convert all of these into Philippine Peso?”
.. when we looked at different money currencies that had been sitting in my wallet for years as souvenirs. 😅
So they ended up learning about money currencies from four different countries, practiced converting and comparing values, and even understood how money exchange (palitan) works… all while helping me figure out how much I actually have. 😂
It’s part of their independent learning in the morning... our where they can explore, ask questions, and follow their curiosity, while the main or guided lessons happen in the afternoon. 🌞
