Since Sitio Mapedya is around 30 kms from the barangay proper of Rio Chico, and only means of transportation is by horseback riding, merely walking or by air transportation. They started requesting since 1992 through the leadership of Mr. Ricardo Batore, leader of Igorot Tribe and Mr. Duplon Ramos, leader of Dumagat Tribe. They submitted their request to the National Commission for Indigenous Peop

le (NCIP) through the effort of Ms. Rosalina A. Bistoyong as NCIP Director, former chairman Benito Lorenzo of Rio Chico and its Councilmen, they were able to seek donation from the Australian-New Zealand Association (ANZA) to build a 6-Classroom Building made of concrete flooring, G.I. Roofing and half concrete half sawali walls within 3 hectare school lot. Construction started in the year 1998 with the military soldiers as the builders and finished in the year 2000.
