𝙁𝙀𝘼𝙏𝙐𝙍𝙀 | 𝗟𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗽 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹: 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗚𝗙𝗜 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗧𝗧 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝟵

"Believe in yourself and keep going, even when it gets hard. Success does not happen overnight, and it is not about learning everything quickly."

What began as a simple prayer to pass the 2026 Certified Tax Technician (CTT) Examination became far more than John Laurence B. Loplop had hoped for. A Bachelor of Science in Accountancy graduate of Gensantos Foundation College (GFI) Batch 2023, Loplop not only earned the CTT title but also secured National Rank 9 among the country's top-performing examinees.

Loplop was on his way when his girlfriend called with unexpected news, he had been named one of the country's top-performing examinees. At first, he struggled to believe it. Passing the examination had always been his goal; earning a national ranking was something he never imagined.

“I did not think I would get a ranking. So when I found out, I could not fully understand the news at first.” he recalled.

Only after the excitement settled did the months of sacrifice truly sink in. The late nights, prayers, and brief 30-minute study sessions squeezed between work responsibilities suddenly felt worthwhile.

Beyond the recognition, Loplop realized that the achievement represented something greater than a national ranking. It became proof that hard work, discipline, perseverance, and faith can open doors far beyond one's expectations. His success was never built on moments of brilliance alone, but on consistent preparation and a commitment to understanding concepts rather than simply memorizing them.

However, the journey was far from easy. His biggest obstacle was the amount of time he needed to dedicate to his studies, which were often at odds with his work obligations.

There were days when exhaustion and self-doubt threatened to slow him down. Balancing work while preparing for the examination demanded both discipline and sacrifice. Still, he chose to remain consistent, reminding himself why he had started and placing his trust in God through every challenge.

For fellow GFI students aspiring to achieve similar success, Loplop offered simple but meaningful advice.

"Believe in yourself and keep going, even when it gets hard," he said.

According to Loplop, success is never achieved overnight. Rather than trying to learn everything at once, he encouraged future examinees to stay disciplined, remain consistent, and embrace continuous learning despite setbacks.

“I am a humble dreamer, and will always be a humble dreamer. And it is my honor to inspire humble dreamers just like me.” he shared.

From balancing a professional career while preparing for the examination to becoming a National Rank 9 passer, Loplop's journey proves that remarkable achievements are often built through ordinary days of quiet consistency.
