GENERAL SANTOS CITY – To ensure faster response and immediate assistance during critical situations, the City Government of General Santos, through its City Public Information Office (CPIO), has released an updated list of emergency hotline numbers for hospitals, law enforcement, and other emergency service units.

Mayor Lorelie Geronimo Pacquiao urged all Generals to keep these numbers saved and visible at home or at work. “Preparedness is everyone’s responsibility. Having these numbers ready can save lives in times of emergency,” she emphasized.

The morning session, held from 10:00 𝐀𝐌 𝐭𝐨 12:30 𝐏𝐌, was attended by CFAS students, faculty members, and the Dean's Assistant, focusing on disaster preparedness, fire safety awareness, and the importance of coordinated response within the university.

In the afternoon session at 3:00–4:00 𝐏𝐌, 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 were conducted with the active participation of CFAS students. During the simulation, members of the 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 (𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐓) acted as simulated casualties, while other members took on the roles of 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬, allowing students to experience realistic emergency response scenarios.

These activities aim to strengthen awareness, preparedness, and practical skills of the university community in responding to emergencies and disasters.

The UDRRMO extends its appreciation to the College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences for their cooperation and active participation in promoting a safer and more prepared campus.

The University Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (UDRRMO), in coordination with the Medical Services Department, successfully conducted an 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 for the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠.

The 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 was held 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 11:00 𝐀𝐌 𝐭𝐨 1:00 𝐏𝐌 and was attended by the 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 (𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬) of the College of Engineering, together with the 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧’𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 and 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬. The 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 was facilitated by 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐨 of the UDRRMO, while the 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 was conducted by 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐚 from the Medical Services Department.

In the afternoon, from 3:00 𝐏𝐌 𝐭𝐨 4:00 𝐏𝐌, an 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 was conducted with the participation of the 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭s 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠. The students demonstrated commendable participation, attentiveness, and willingness to learn, reflecting their commitment to safety and preparedness.

These activities aim to strengthen disaster preparedness, enhance awareness, and promote a culture of safety within the University. The UDRRMO extends its appreciation to the College of Engineering for their active participation and support in this important initiative.

𝐋 𝐎 𝐎 𝐊 | The University Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (UDRRMO) successfully conducted an 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 on 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 26, 2025 for the 𝙱𝚕𝚘𝚌𝚔 𝙻𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚛𝚜 (𝚜𝚝𝚞𝚍𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚜) of the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, with the participation of the 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬, from 11:00 𝐀𝐌 𝐭𝐨 12:00 𝐍𝐍.

The orientation focused on increasing awareness and understanding of earthquake hazards, as well as the appropriate actions to take 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞, 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞.

In the afternoon, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, an 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 was conducted involving 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞. The drill included the 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐚 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, allowing students to practice proper evacuation procedures and emergency response in a controlled and guided.

The UDRRMO extends its appreciation to the College of Agriculture, its administration, faculty, and students for their cooperation and active participation in promoting a safer and more disaster-prepared university community.
