In compliance with Executive Order No. 48, Series of 2026, all face-to-face classes at Goldenstate College are suspended on Thursday, August 6, 2026, due to the recent earthquake and ongoing safety inspections.

Preliminary Examinations scheduled on August 6 are postponed and will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026. Examination schedules for August 7โ€“8, 2026 shall proceed as originally scheduled.

Students, faculty, and staff are advised to monitor the College's official communication channels for further updates. Stay safe, Goldenstate College community!

In view of the sudden earthquake experienced today, August 5, 2026, and to ensure the safety and well-being of all students, faculty, staff, and stakeholders, all classes (face-to-face and online) and all office transactions are hereby CANCELLED for today.

Students, employees, and visitors are advised to remain in safe areas, stay alert for possible aftershocks, and follow the advisories issued by the appropriate government authorities.

Further announcements regarding the resumption of classes and office operations will be released through the College's official communication channels.

Goldenstate College Main Campus warmly welcomed officials from the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region XII for a courtesy visit and dialogue with the College's faculty members and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) students.

The visiting delegation was composed of:

The visit featured a short but meaningful discussion focused on the current developments in the Philippine tourism industry, the vital role of higher education institutions in producing competent tourism professionals, and the importance of strengthening collaboration between the Department of Tourism and academic institutions.

Faculty members and BS Tourism Management students actively participated in the dialogue, where the DOT officials shared valuable insights on sustainable tourism, customer service excellence, tourism promotion, and the career opportunities available in the growing tourism sector. Students also had the opportunity to interact with the officials by asking questions and learning from their professional experiences.

Goldenstate College expressed its gratitude to the Department of Tourism officials for taking the time to visit the institution and inspire future tourism professionals. The activity reflects the College's commitment to providing students with meaningful learning experiences through industry engagement and government-academe partnerships.

The Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Orientation was successfully conducted to welcomed new cadets, orient them on the programโ€™s objectives, policies, and values, and equip them with essential knowledge on safety and national security. The activity was graced by respected officials who shared meaningful guidance, inspiration, and practical insights for the cadets. PBGEN WILLIE M. DANGANE SR (RET), MNSA, Llb, Ph.D, NSTP Director and Dean of Criminology of Goldenstate College together with MAJOR CYRUS LUIGI L DEL MURO (INF) Commandant , delivered an inspiring speech that deeply moved all participants. He highlighted that joining ROTC is a noble choice rooted in the desire to serve oneโ€™s country and community. He reminded the cadets that the training they will undergo will build resilience, integrity, and a strong sense of dutyโ€”qualities that will serve them well in their studies, especially as future criminology professionals, and in their lives ahead. He urged them to stay dedicated, uphold honor at all times, and remember that their growth today is an investment in a safer and better Philippines.

The highlight of the afternoon session was the Security Awareness Symposium conducted by the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) Region 12, led by Sir Mr. Mark Chester L. Rosario, Operations Officer of NICA 12. He discussed relevant security concerns facing communities and the country, including how to identify suspicious activities, the importance of reporting threats properly, and the critical role that youth and students play in promoting national security. He also emphasized responsible social media use, proper information literacy, and how to avoid misinformation and harmful influences. His discussion gave the cadets clear, practical knowledge they can apply in their daily lives to keep themselves and others safe.

Throughout the entire activity, the cadets showed full attention, active participation, and great enthusiasm. The orientation achieved its goal of motivating the cadets, orienting them on the program, and increasing their awareness of their role in nation-building and security. The event concluded expressing gratitude to all the distinguished guests and organizers.

Dr. Rody P. Garcia, Regional Director of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XII, paid an official visit to Goldenstate College โ€“ Main Campus on July 9, 2026, accompanied by CHED supervisors headed by Dr. Zohrahaydah N. Panawidan.

The CHED delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Sara Jane T. Manilay, Vice President for Finance and Administration, and Dr. Richard F. Fermocil from the Office of the Academic Affairs, together with members of the college administration.

The visit reaffirmed the strong partnership between CHED Regional Office XII and Goldenstate College in advancing quality, accessible, and transformative higher education. It also served as an opportunity to discuss institutional initiatives, academic excellence, quality assurance, and compliance with CHED policies and standards.

During the engagement, Dr. Garcia emphasized the importance of continuous quality improvement, innovation in teaching and learning, and strengthening academic programs to ensure that graduates are equipped with the competencies needed in an evolving global landscape. He also recognized the vital role of higher education institutions in producing professionals who contribute meaningfully to national and regional development.

Meanwhile, Dr. Panawidan, together with the CHED supervisors, conducted discussions with the college officials on academic programs, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance initiatives aimed at further enhancing the institution's educational services.

Goldenstate College expressed its sincere appreciation to Dr. Garcia, Dr. Panawidan, and the entire CHED Regional Office XII delegation for their visit, guidance, and unwavering support.
