โNo time to waste if we want to help.โ Mindanao State University Alumni Association sends its help to the victims of 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit General Santos City, Sarangani, and the rest of Mindanao last June 8, 2026.
Last June 12, 2026, by resolution no. 02-2026, MSUAA GenSan Chapter sent Php 20,000 as support to the Magtinabangay Relief Operation for Stranded Students of MSU General Santos, wherein 159 students received the relief goods.
On June 18, 2026, MSUAA Inc. through its Project Tabang extended Php 50,000 for the relief operations of MSU General Santos for its employees. It was also noted that 363 MSU alumni in the GenSan Chapter were reached by the said aide.
In both relief operations, MSUAA GenSan Chapter, headed by Dr. Norman Ralph Isla, coordinated with all possible donors for the success of the Magtinabangay Project. MSUAA officers facilitated and worked steadfastly for the fast delivery of the said help. The relief op was led by Mr. Francis Renzo Diaz (PRO) and Dr. Isla and teamed up with Mr. John Michael Macaya (Auditor) and Ms. Rhea Ayop (Treasurer).
โWe are just the hands that can help move it. More than giving back to the community, the MSUAA will always help its alma mater,โ Diaz said.
MSUAA Inc also sent Php 50,000 to MSUAA Dadiangas Chapter, headed by Sir Carlito Dacut III.

Pursuant to BOR Resolution No. 14, series of 2025, the standard Alumni ID issued by the MSU Alumni Association (MSUAA) is hereby recognized as the sole and official Alumni ID of the university system. This ID shall be signed by the MSUAA National President, who serves as the Alumni Regent.
Furthermore, as stipulated in Annex โLโ of the same resolution, the Alumni ID fee is set at Three Hundred Pesos (P 300.00). This fee will cover ID production costs and support the programs of the MSUAA National Board and its local chapters.

From April 13 to 15, 2026, MSU System Alumni Regent Engr. Samuel Sabenecio and Former Alumni Regent Dr. Renato Boniao visited MSU General Santos to attend series of activities set by the Chancellor.
Aside from the MOA Signing for the Bahay Alumni, chapter officers and the alumni regents leveled off in leading the alumni chapters and best practices in the past and future programs.
Dr. Norman Ralph Isla, GenSan Chapter President, led the protocol committee. Some officers who were present are: Ms. Noralyn J. Pascua (VP), Ms. Noralyn L. Bidad (President-in-Waiting), Ms. Jorgelyn C. Rivera (Secretary), Ms. Rhea M. Ayop (Treasurer), Mr. John Michael D. Macaya (Auditor), Mr. Francis Renzo Diaz (PRO), and BOD Members - Ms. Jasmin Saricala, Dr. Ian Jay Sunio, Ms. Julie Andura and Dr. Jane S. Malasador.

With the indulgence of Chancellor Atty. Shidik T. Abantas, the MOA signing between MSU Alumni Association and MSU General Santos for the construction of the Bahay Alumni building was conducted at the Office of the Chancellor, April 14, 2026.
Chancellor Abantas highlighted in his speech the commitment of the university to include and recognize the vital role of the alumni to the success of the university. He said that he believed in the vision of the Bahay Alumni program as one of the flagship projects of MSUAA.
After the ceremonial signing, Alumni Regent Engr Samuel Sabenecio, together with former Regent, Dr. Renato Boniao, handed over the symbolical mock check of 1,500,000 pesos to Chancellor Abantas of MSU GenSan.
Dr. Norman Ralph B. Isla, MSUAA GenSan Chapter President, thanked all officers and guests for their participation and stressed that โBahay Alumni is monument recognizing the alumni, a concrete space for the alumni inside the university, a home inside a home.โ
Also present in the event are: Dr. Alma Celesthia D. Aguja (Alumni Relations Director), Ms. Karla Torcelino (Executive Assistant of the Chancellor), and the MSUAA GenSan Chapter Officers - Ms. Noralyn J. Pascua (VP), Ms. Jorgelyn C. March 7, 2026 - The MSUAA GenSan Chapter Officers visited and had a dialogue with Atty. Shidik T. Abantas, Chancellor of MSU General Santos.
Highlights of the dialogue are the construction of the Bahay Alumni Project and the preparation for the upcoming MOA Signing on the project, and the future programs of the Chapter in relation to fund raising and revenue generation.
Dr. Norman Ralph Isla, Chapter President, led the dialogue and pointed out in his talk the current challenges the Chapter is facing though he stressed that his confidence to the team will result to good governance and productivity.
Dr. Alma Celesthia D. Aguja, Alumni Relations Director, shared best practices and programs of the University so to align it with the plans and activities of the Chapter.
Also present in the dialogue are the major officers - Ms. Noralyn J. Pascua (Vice President), Ms. Jorgelyn C. Rivera (Secretary), Ms. Rhea M. Ayop (Treasurer), Mr. John Michael Macaya (Auditor) and Mr. Francis Renzo Diaz (PRO), and BOD Members - Engr. Abdulgapur Kudarat, Dr. Jane Malasador.

After the March 4, 2026 Regular Meeting, the MSUAA GenSan Chapter presided by President Norman Ralph Isla assigned committees for the full functionalities of the service of the officers.
Among the committees, the following officers composed the Committee on Scholarship & Academic Enhancement Program and Committee on Job Placement.
