A promising voice in regional cinema is steadily gaining recognition as ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ฎ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ญ๐, an alumnus of the Bachelor of Arts in Communication program at Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges, continues to make waves in the independent film scene with his compelling documentary work.
Hate first drew attention during his senior year when his film โ๐๐ฎ๐ด๐ฎ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ปโ (๐ฌ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐) emerged as a finalist in the 10๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง of the ๐น๐ด๐ด๐ช ๐ซ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ (๐น๐ซ๐ญ๐ญ). Demonstrating both technical skill and narrative depth, the film earned nominations across all major award categories and received a Special Jury Citation, signaling exceptional qualities in storytelling, cinematography, subject matter, or social impact and showing that the film made a strong impression on the juries.
The momentum did not stop there. โKagahaponโ was later selected for exhibition at ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐บ๐ฎ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ต๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ป 15, a prestigious platform that celebrates regional filmmaking across the Philippines. This milestone marked Hateโs transition from a student filmmaker to a rising contributor in the broader cinematic landscape.
Hate's remarkable journey continues as the upcoming ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ง๐๐จ ๐
๐๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ฅ ๐จ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐ฆ๐ will showcase his film. Screenings are scheduled to take place in Davao and General Santos City on ๐๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ 10โ11 ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ 17โ18, 2026. The festival will provide yet another avenue for Hateโs work to reach diverse audiences and spark meaningful conversations.

Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) officially launched Kalingawan 2026, the schoolโs annual college day celebration, on March 11, 2026, with a vibrant Parasol Parade in the afternoon.
The parade featured six participating colleges, along with teaching and non-teaching personnel; all engaged enthusiastically, making the parade a colorful start to the annual celebration. Participants carried decorated parasols as they marched along the route, starting from OLPGV, passing through Oval Plaza and BIR, and ending at Pioneer Avenue.
The opening event highlighted teamwork, artistry, and pride in college identity, setting a festive tone for the rest of the Kalingawan 2025 activities.

The session explored emerging strategies in digital communication and content production, highlighting the growing role of generative AI and multimedia platforms in modern marketing and communication campaigns. Participants gained practical insights into AI prompt engineering, paid and organic advertising strategies, marketing automation, creative production, copywriting, SMS campaigns, and local marketing approaches relevant to contemporary media practice.
Serving as keynote speaker was ๐ ๐. ๐ ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ฒ, a digital marketing professional with over ten years of experience supporting digital marketing operations, website content management, and performance-driven campaigns across global industries, including travel, cruise, consulting, IT, and tourism. In her lecture, Falle shared industry-based practices on optimizing digital content for search visibility, managing marketing workflows independently, and integrating AI-assisted content production into communication strategies. She also emphasized the importance of translating analytics into actionable insights, equipping student participants with practical knowledge and tools to navigate the evolving landscape of digital communication and marketing.

๐๐จ๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐๐๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐โMr. Leonardo Rey Cariรฑo, cultural officer, faculty member, and Artistic Director of Teatro Ambahanon, was among the six distinguished individuals recognized as awardees at the 3rd GADOR Awards, held at the Cultural Center in Koronadal City.
Mr. Cariรฑoโs recognition highlights his sustained contributions as a visual artist, cultural worker, and contemporary dance master in Mindanao. As a faculty member and cultural officer, he has been instrumental in nurturing artistic excellence and cultural awareness, particularly through his leadership of Teatro Ambahanon.
Joining Mr. Cariรฑo as individual GADOR awardees were Bayang Barrios, a music artist from Agusan del Sur; Carlo Ebeo, a cultural manager from Koronadal City; Dr. Nagasura Madale, an anthropologist and literary artist-educator from Marawi City; Gutierrez โTengโ Mangansakan, a filmmaker from Maguindanao; and Romeo Narvaez, a theater director from General Santos City. Together, the awardees represent the rich diversity and vitality of Mindanaoโs artistic and cultural landscape.
Meanwhile, Teatro Ambahanon, RMMC's resident contemporary dance group, also received a GADOR Award under the organizational category. The group was recognized alongside the Koronadal Hinugyaw Cultural Dance Troupe and the University of Mindanao Chorale, affirming its impact on contemporary dance and cultural expression in Mindanao.
The GADOR Award is a prestigious regional cultural recognition in the Philippines, honoring outstanding artists, cultural workers, and organizations in Mindanao. The award is part of a recognition program initiated by the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) through its Kaisa sa Sining (KSS) Mindanao Network, which acknowledges individuals and groups who have demonstrated significant and sustained contributions to the development of arts and culture in the region.

In celebration of National Book Week, the RMMC College Library, in partnership with Book Nook RMMC, RMMC Senior High School Department, the Bachelor of Arts in Communication, and the Bachelor of Information and Library Science programs, formally opened a new reading center at A. Biscayda Elementary School, on November 17, 2025. marking a meaningful milestone in its community outreach efforts.
