On 08 July 2026, the 47th Commencement Exercises of Mindanao State University โ General Santos marked the culmination of years of study, sacrifice, and growth. Among the graduates were eight Betans who, like many students, had to navigate not only the demands of university life but also circumstances that were beyond their control.
We proudly honor:
Sis Jannah Mae M. Ruto
Sis Hannah Jane I. Kingkim
Sis Chrysta Mizzy C. Dohina
Sis Charlotte Nicole M. Cape
Sis Gle Ann Rose F. Salvador
Sis Nathalie Zillah D. Rivera
Brod Adriane Marc B. Pericon

Their journey toward graduation was met with challenges even in its final stretch. Just a month before commencement, the 7.8-magnitude earthquake shook the community, bringing uncertainty at a time when they were already preparing to complete their academic journey. Then, on 08 July 2026โthe very day of their graduationโBagyong Inday made its presence felt, adding yet another challenge to a day that was meant to mark their long-awaited achievement.
Yet, despite the circumstances, they showed up, crossed the stage, and received the recognition they had worked so hard to earn.
They made it, not because the journey was easy, but because they chose to see it through.
For us in the Betan community, their graduation is more than a list of names or another accomplishment to record. It is a reminder of what it means to keep going when circumstances do not always go according to plan.
Batch Magdarani 2026 carries with them the lessons that cannot be found in textbooks alone, the patience to endure difficult seasons, the courage to adjust when necessary, and the determination to keep moving forward.
These are also the qualities we hope they will bring with them beyond the university.
As they begin a new chapter, may they remember the people, experiences, and challenges that shaped them along the way. May their degrees open doors, but may their character determine what they do once those doors open.
Congratulations, Batch Magdarani 2026. May you continue to carry the spirit of a true Betan wherever life takes you
All for the Great Beta Sigma Fraternity and Ladies Corps, cheers! ๐ฅ
