How to start as a virtual assistant, even without experience

Start with research, know what a VA really does, and explore what services are in demand.
Pick your niche, focus on just one skill or service at first—admin, social media, data entry, or anything you're interested in.
Learn through tutorials, free resources, and if you can, earn certifications to build credibility.
As you grow, slowly add more skills, build your confidence, and offer more value.
You don’t need to be perfect to begin, you just need to begin.

"Tell me about yourself" is not really about you, it's about them, the client.

Many virtual assistants get this wrong by oversharing or listing things that don’t matter. What clients actually want to hear is how you can help solve their problems.

Use the 3 C’s, context, core strength, and connection, to keep your answer short, relevant, and client-focused.

This small shift can make a big difference in how you're seen.

Hook, you're not the main character in their business, they are, so speak to that.
