On December 11, students came together for Lakas-Isip: Nagkakaisang Sikolohiya, a mental health seminar organized by the 4th Year BSP students as part of their Elective 3: Disaster and Mental Health subject. More than a typical seminar, it served as a safe and engaging space where students could reflect on their realities, connect with one another, and learn practical ways to care for their mental well-being.
Anchored on the message โ๐๐ ๐๐๐ฃโ๐ฉ ๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฉ ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐ค๐ฃโ๐ฉ ๐๐๐ซ๐,โ the seminar emphasized the importance of taking care of oneself before extending support to others. To ensure relevance, the organizers conducted a student poll that identified the most pressing concerns: stress and burnout, academic pressure, and time management. These topics were discussed by three speakers who shared practical insights and coping strategies suited to studentsโ everyday experiences.
Lakas-Isip demonstrated the impact of student-led initiatives in promoting awareness and resilience. By prioritizing personal well-being, students are not only empowered to face their own challenges but are also able to help build a stronger, more compassionate academic community.

๐ข๐ป ๐ก๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ต, under the scorching heat of the sun, the Psychology Department continued its unwavering commitment to community service as students once again made their way through the streets of Barangay Olympog. With determination in every step, they moved beyond the usual gathering areas and into the heart of the community, reaching homes that welcomed them with warmth and openness.
Despite the blazing sun and long walks through uneven roads, the team pressed on. Their dedication reflected a deeper mission, to ensure that support does not stay within four walls, but extends to the very homes where it is needed. Families expressed gratitude for the personalized attention, noting how rare it is for young volunteers to take time to visit them individually.
As the day concluded, it became clear that the success of the program lies not only in the interviews, but in the support and care formed. The Psychology Departmentโs continuing service to Brgy. Olympog stands as a testament to what community partnership truly means: listening, learning, and walking alongside one another.
With each visit, each conversation, and each home reached, the department strengthens its promise to serve, proving that genuine help is not merely offered, but lived through every step taken for the community.
