Operations at multiple administrative offices in MSU-GenSan are shifting to new locations after earthquake-related damage rendered the universityโs Y-Building unsuitable for continued occupancy, university officials announced on Thursday, June 11.
The university Memorandum No. 050-26C, signed by chancellor Atty. Shidik T. Abantas directed affected offices to transfer operations to designated locations while safety assessments and other necessary measures are undertaken.
In addition, the memorandum stated that the relocation aims to ensure the safety of personnel, clients and stakeholders while minimizing disruptions to office operations and service delivery.
Under the directive, the OC Domain will move to the New CNSM, while the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs will be relocated to the CBAA E-Classroom. The Registrarโs Office will temporarily operate from the CBAA Conference Room.
Meanwhile, the OVCAF Domain, Commission on Audit, and Scholarship Office will be transferred to the STTC, while the OVCPD Domain will relocate to the RSRC.
On the other hand, IIAIS will move to JHS Room 1, the Housing Division will head to JHS Room 2, and the CWS and OIA to JHS Room 3.
Meanwhile, Bagwis, the official student publication of the university, will temporarily occupy JHS Room 4, while the Senior High School office will transfer to the New SHS Faculty Room, and UPCO will operate from the Biodiversity Conference Room.
The memorandum instructed all directors and unit heads to coordinate with relevant offices to facilitate the transfer of documents, equipment, and other official materials.
During the relocation procedure, they were also instructed to keep inventory records and guarantee the safety of government property.
The temporary transfers will stay in place while offices continue to address the effects of the earthquake and put plans in place to keep services running.
