‎Today, we join the city of General Santos in celebrating the 12th Blaan Day, a meaningful occasion that honors the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and invaluable contributions of the Blaan Indigenous community to our shared history and identity.
‎
‎We extend our deepest respect and gratitude to our Blaan brothers and sisters for their steadfast role in preserving their ancestral wisdom and vibrant traditions. May this celebration inspire greater appreciation, unity, and mutual respect among all peoples, and may we remain committed to upholding the rights, dignity, and cultural legacy of our indigenous communities for generations to come.

To my fellow 𝗘𝗟𝗚𝗘𝗡 𝗖, welcome to our last stretch! This year won't be easy, but we've already come this far. We've survived sleepless nights, countless requirements, exams, and all the moments we thought we couldn't make it. Yet here we are, stronger and wiser than before.

Reminiscing to our very first culmination program as ELGEN C-Lab freshmen, where it all began in CPE110 and CPE102. With the theme “Forging Pathways of Collaboration: Uniting School and Community for Thriving Climate and Culture Leadership,” we didn’t just complete a requirement but we created a meaningful documentary that reflected how the school and community shape every student’s journey. That night, filled with shared stories, laughter, and purpose, became even more special during our socialization, where strangers slowly turned into familiar faces and future friends.

Now, as we stand on the edge of our 4th year and prepare for our final culmination program, it’s impossible not to look back and feel grateful for how far we’ve come. From that first gathering of aspiring educators to a stronger, more connected block, we’ve grown not just academically but as a family. Soon, we’ll close this chapter with our last culmination but this first one will always remain the beginning of everything. ✨

Throwing it back to our ELGEN C-Lab days during Intramurals 2023, when we turned our first year hustle into something unforgettable. From our booth built on the theme Financial Literacy through Student Economic Enterprise, to serving crowd favorites like Thicc Milo, Lumpiang Gulay, and 123 Shot, we didn’t just sell but we created moments. Every call, every laugh, and every satisfied MSUan became part of a memory we’ll always look back on.

Now, as we prepare to step into our 4th year, it hits different knowing how far we’ve come from that simple booth. What started as an NSTP requirement became a core memory that shaped our bond as a block. From strangers to a team that made things happen, ELGEN C-Lab will always be more than just a class, it’s a story we’ll carry long after college.

Ang kalayaan ay hindi lamang alaala ng nakaraan—ito ay lakas na patuloy na nabubuhay sa puso ng bawat Pilipino sa gitna ng anumang pagsubok.

Sa pagdiriwang natin ng ika-128 na Araw ng Kalayaan, muli nating ginugunita ang tapang, pagkakaisa, at pagmamahal sa bayan ng mga Pilipinong nagbuwis ng buhay upang makamtan ang kasarinlan na tinatamasa natin ngayon.

Ang Hunyo 12, 1898 ay hindi lamang petsa sa kasaysayan, kundi paalala na ang tunay na kalayaan ay bunga ng paninindigan at sama-samang pakikibaka ng sambayanan.

At sa panahong ito kung saan maraming Pilipino, ang mga naapektuhan ng lindol noong nakaraan —mas lalong naipapakita ang diwang Pilipino na hindi madaling matinag. Sa gitna ng pagyanig, nananatiling matatag ang puso ng bawat isa; handang magdamayan, tumulong, at muling bumangon.

Nawa’y magsilbing paalala ang Araw ng Kalayaan na ang tunay na lakas ng bayan ay makikita hindi lamang sa tagumpay, kundi maging sa ating kakayahang magkaisa sa panahon ng sakuna at hamon.
