𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦| 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝘀. 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄

‎The Mr. and Ms. Salumanay 2026 contestants from Divisions 1 to 4 participated in the sashing and panel interview held at the CAD Building, Room 104, on September 24, 2026.

‎The contestants were individually interviewed by panelists Charissa Mae G. Behiga-Semilla, MAEd, LPT; Marychell N. Tagupa, MA, LPT; and Marie Claire B. Caparoso, LPT, who posed questions designed to explore their personalities, experiences, and perspectives.

‎Among the questions posed, one contestant from Division 4 was asked, “If you could describe yourself as an ocean, would you be calm, deep, or a powerful wave? Why?”
‎
‎The contestant described herself as a deep ocean, explaining that while she may appear happy and cheerful, she also carries deep emotions shaped by her experiences in life.
‎
The activity provided the candidates an opportunity to demonstrate their confidence, skills, and individuality as they continue their journey toward the Mr. and Ms. Salumanay 2026 titles.

The 3-day Pelikmata Film Festival 2026, themed “The Echoes of the Unseen,” successfully concluded on September 19, 2026, at the CFC Gymnasium, General Santos City.
‎
‎Held from September 17 to 19, 2026, the festival brought together students, filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and members of the community for three days dedicated to the art and power of cinema. Through film screenings, storytelling, discussions, and meaningful exchanges, the event highlighted how films can give voice to experiences, perspectives, and stories that are often overlooked.

‎The festival featured notable personalities from the Philippine film industry, including Bryan Wong, Rolando Inocencio, Alan Filoteo, Jun Nayra, and Bagani Fiola, who shared their experiences, insights, and perspectives on filmmaking and storytelling.

Their participation provided the audiences and aspiring filmmakers with opportunities to learn from professionals and gain a deeper appreciation of the creative process behind the films presented.

The PELIKMATA Film Festival 2026 enters its 3rd day today, September 19, with the Film Screening taking place at the CAD Building, 3rd and 4th Floors of Cronasia Foundation College, Inc.

‎Students, faculty members, and other guests gathered for another day of cinematic presentations, providing an avenue for the audience to engage with the featured films and appreciate the hard work and creative vision behind each production.

‎As the festival continues, PELIKMATA 2026 highlights the importance of film as a medium for storytelling, creativity, and expression.

The Pelikmata Film Festival 2026 opened its three-day celebration on September 17 at the CFC Gymnasium, under the theme "𝙀𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙣" bringing together students, teachers, filmmakers, artists, and film enthusiasts for an evening centered on local cinema.

Following the screening, the filmmakers and cast members took part in an open question-and-answer session. Students and other audience members raised questions about the film’s story, production, and the experiences of those who worked behind and in front of the camera. It became a platform for the production team and cast to share their perspectives, experiences, and insights behind the making of Pandong.

‎Through the exchange between the audience and the film's production team, it allowed viewers to gain a deeper understanding, including the experiences behind its scenes and the challenges encountered during production.

‎More than a film screening, the opening of the Pelikmata Film Festival highlighted film as a form of art that brings stories, experiences, and perspectives to life, serving as a space for people to connect and share stories that reflect different realities. The event gave the audience a chance to appreciate not only the films on screen but also the creativity, effort, and experiences behind their production.

‎Concerns surrounding the call to boycott, the South Cotabato II Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SOCOTECO II) were brought to public discussion during a press conference held at DXCP Radyo Totoo along Lagao National Highway, on September 2, 2026 .

‎The press conference officially began with Ed Gejar, Atty. Virgilio Alconeba, Rev. Fr. Jerome Milan, and Norma Quezon serving as panelists for the discussion.
‎
‎The gathering brought together members of the media, student journalists, and concerned individuals to listen to the perspectives and concerns raised regarding SOCOTECO II and the ongoing call for a boycott. Members of the MCO were also present as part of the audience.
‎
‎As the discussion progressed, the panelists shared their insights and addressed various concerns surrounding the issue. The event later opened into a question-and-answer portion, allowing online viewers, members of the media, and student journalists to raise their questions directly to the panelists.
‎
‎The exchange gave participants an opportunity to seek clarification and hear different perspectives on the issues being raised.
