The Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges, Inc. Cultural Development Center proudly celebrates HABILAKBO for securing the 93rd rank in the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026.

Derived from the words habî (to weave) and lakbô (to leap), HABILAKBO is a cultural program that celebrates dance as a universal language. It brings together diverse dance traditions, encourages creative expression, and provides a platform for student-artists to develop and showcase their talents.

HABILAKBO was presented during the WURI 2026 Global Conference in Deggendorf, Germany, by Mr. Gerald Reburcio, MS, representing Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges, Inc.

The Cultural Development Center extends its gratitude to the Student Services Office (SSO) and the International Linkage, Research, and Extension Office for their support in bringing HABILAKBO to the international stage.

This recognition highlights RMMC's continuing commitment to cultural excellence, innovation, artistic development, and the preservation of cultural traditions.

RMMC TEATRO AMBAHANON PERFORMS “DIIN GID AYHAN” AT MINDA­NAO ART FAIR 2026

“Diin gid ayhan” by Acharon Michael, performed by RMMC Teatro Amabahanon, successfully graced the opening of Mindanao Art Fair 2026 on September 20, 2026, at SM Lanang Premier in Davao City.

The performance brought its distinct artistic expression to the regional art scene, marking another meaningful opportunity for RMMC’s performing artists to showcase their work and celebrate the richness of Mindanaoan arts and culture.

RMMC’S “SAKAMAGABI BAGU SU KAPEGKAWING” SUCCESSFULLY PRESENTED AT MIPAM

“Sakamagabi Bagu Su Kapegkawing (The Night Before the Wedding),” an original theatrical work by Ismael Gallaza Pantao, Artistic Director of Dulaang RMMC, was successfully presented at the Manila International Performing Arts Market (MIPAM) 2026 at Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez | Centro de Turismo.

The presentation highlighted RMMC’s commitment to original theatrical works and the continued expression of Filipino stories through the performing arts.

“Silopin (Cellophane)” by Ralph Malaque, performed by Teatro Amabahanon, successfully took the stage at the Manila International Performing Arts Market (MIPAM) 2026 at Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez | Centro de Turismo.

The performance brought its distinct artistic expression to the MIPAM stage, marking another meaningful opportunity for RMMC’s performing artists to showcase their work before a wider audience.

RMMC BRINGS FILIPINO STORIES TO THE MIPAM STAGE

Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) brings two original performing arts works to the Manila International Performing Arts Market (MIPAM) on September 11–13, 2026, at Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez | Centro de Turismo.

Representing RMMC are Teatro Amabahanon with “Silopin (Cellophane)” by Ralph Malaque, and Dulaang RMMC with “Sakamagabi Bagu Su Kapegkawing (The Night Before the Wedding)”, an original theatrical work by Artistic Director Ismael Gallaza Pantao, MAed, MCAS, LPT.

RMMC JOINS THE 12TH ACOPEI NATIONAL CONFERENCE

The Cultural Development Center (CDC) of Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) participated in the 12th ACOPEI National Conference on September 6–8, 2026, at Adamson University, Manila, represented by D.J. Brylle Silao, MAT, Assistant Cultural Development Officer.

With the theme “Ethical Boundaries of AI in the Arts in Academic Institutions,” the conference highlighted the ethical and responsible use of AI as a tool and assistive technology in the arts, culture, research, heritage, and education.

As an ACOPEI member since 2024, RMMC continues to promote arts, culture, education, and cultural preservation while exploring how AI can support and not replace human creativity and expression.
