The activity served as a simple reminder that caring for our oceans starts with the actions we take in our own communities. By coming together to collect waste and help keep the shoreline clean, we contributed our time and effort toward protecting our coastal environment.

May this activity inspire us to continue being responsible stewards of our seas, not only during clean-up drives but also through our everyday actions. Every piece of waste collected is a small step toward a cleaner shoreline and a healthier ocean.

When we stepped into the community on Day 2, we thought we were there simply to lead, to participate, and to fulfill our roles as student leaders. But as the hours unfolded, the experience began to transform us from the inside out.

Looking into the faces of our elders, watching their weathered hands weave patterns passed down through generations, something shifted within us. We realized that leadership isn't just about moving forward or making a name for ourselves, it is about looking back. It is about honoring the hands that molded us and the culture that shaped the foundation beneath our feet. In a world that often asks us to move fast, we learned the importance of slowing down to truly see, value, and recognize our culture bearers, not just through the lens of a camera for a quick photo, but with real gratitude from the bottom of our hearts.

We reflected on our journey, remembering how we started with nothing, just a small spark of hope, uncertainty, and a dream. To stand where we are today, carrying wins that once felt impossible, fills us with a quiet, powerful pride. We wear where we came from like a badge of honor, loud and unapologetic.

Yet, beneath the titles and achievements, this summit reminded us of our shared humanity. Leadership is heavy. We carry silent hardships, tireless passion, and distinct ways of trying to make a difference. But in this shared space, we realized we cannot pour from an empty cup. To lead well, we must first learn to heal, to rest, and to take care of our own minds and bodies.

As Day 2 came to a close, we realized we weren't just attending a summit, we were embarking on a transformation. We carry these lessons in our hearts, knowing that our well-being is our strength, our culture is our anchor, and the rest of our story is history in the making.

The first day of the 3rd Student Leadership Summit and Well-being Forum was held on September 18, 2026, at the University Library, bringing student leaders together for meaningful learning, reflection, and connection.

With the theme โ€œRehumanizing Leadership, Rebuilding Communities,โ€ the first day reminded us that leadership is not only about leading organizations or making decisions. It is also about understanding people, listening to their experiences, and recognizing the importance of compassion and genuine connection in serving others.

Day 1 was more than a gathering of student leaders. It was an opportunity to pause, learn, and reflect on what it truly means to lead with humanity. It reminded us that meaningful leadership begins not only with responsibility, but also with empathy, self-awareness, and concern for the people and communities we serve.

The Fish Processing Students Organization (FIPSO) of the College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences - MSU Gensan successfully conducted its second regular meeting for the first semester of Academic Year 2026โ€“2027 last September 16, 2026, via Google Meet.

Despite being conducted online, the meeting allowed FIPSO officers and members to connect, discuss important matters, and prepare for upcoming activities. The session helped strengthen coordination and keep everyone informed and involved in the organizationโ€™s plans.

Another step forward as we continue to work together, serve with dedication, and move the organization forward.

Through Finnovation Foods Bangus Sisig, the team presented a creative take on a familiar Filipino favorite while highlighting the potential of locally sourced bangus as an innovative fish product.

The achievement reflects the dedication, creativity, and teamwork behind the product. From developing the concept to preparing and presenting the final output, every effort played a part in bringing this innovation to the podium.

Through the discussions and open forum, participants were given the opportunity to better understand how ideas and innovations can be properly recognized, protected, and developed within the academic community. The activity also highlighted the importance of being aware of the policies and processes that guide research and innovation in the university.
