about different things such as colors, sizes, shapes and relationship between things. In time, symbolic thinking begins. In class, the students work on blocks, making different designs on their own creative ways. They imagine a block or group of blocks to be something; a house, a motor cross design, a see-saw, etc. Moreover, they love to paint, color and scribble- so we encourage them. The students also learn through multimedia interactions. Children learn fast their basics like the ABC’s by hearing and singing the songs repeatedly. Books are provided in the book center to browse anytime they like. The pictures in them will help the children remember the story. In this way, their reading readiness is beginning to develop. These ways enable them to become able to use abstract symbols like words to describe their thoughts and feelings. This development will take place during early childhood through play.
