Ticiaviel and Fides enjoyed a creative afternoon at Art Room’s handbuilding pottery workshop. From making a custom apple bowl and worm spoon to painting a whimsical duck pond. 🎨 From Seascapes to Masterful Portraits! 🌊✨

While Ticiaviel is a natural at painting seascapes and florals, classical portrait drawing was completely new territory for her.

This summer, she stepped out of her comfort zone and enrolled in Academic Drawing 1.0. See her before-and- after workshop journey from mastering classical cast drawings to rendering these stunning masterpieces.

11-year-old Fides put her summer art workshop skills to the test, independently preparing her colors, drawing, checking proportions and bringing this flower to life. It’s amazing to watch her constantly learn and improve. So proud of you, Fides!

Kids Summer Art Workshop 2026

From basic outlines to beautiful depth! 🏺🍏

Drawing isn't easy and takes a lot of patience, but Fides and Amber are taking it on like absolute pros in our Kids Summer Art Workshop. They focus intently on getting those tricky proportions just right and building up contrast through independent shading techniques.

Of course, the pottery wheel comes with plenty of trial and error, collapses, messy hands, and starting over. But the wheel is a lot like life, it can get tough and off-center, but the secret is to adjust your grip and keep moving forward.

We absolutely cannot wait to see how these masterpieces turn out after they come out of the kiln! 🔥🏺

Painting from life is irreplaceable it forces you to translate real 3 dimensional depth and light onto canvas in a way a photograph never can.
