Pursuant to the University’s commitment to ensuring public safety, student welfare, and compliance with institutional policies and procedures, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Services, together with the Office of Student Development Services, conducts the Faculty and Student Organization Adviser Orientation today, August 19, 2026, via Zoom.

This orientation aims to provide faculty members with comprehensive guidance on the requirements, deadlines, and procedures for Off‑Campus Activities. It also familiarizes participants with the Student Discipline Manual, with particular emphasis on provisions regarding offenses, corresponding sanctions, and disciplinary procedures.

The College of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (CFAS) is hosting a training on managing faculty lineups and subject loading in the Student Academic Information System (SAIS) today, August 19, 2026, at the CFAS Faculty Lounge. Faculty members are invited to join to strengthen their proficiency in Administrative, Research and Development, and Extension Loads.

The session features an in-depth tutorial focused on step-by-step navigation of the SAIS portal, equipping participants with practical skills to efficiently process and update workload data. An Open discussion was also held to address system errors, technical concerns, and operational problems encountered by faculty, with issues raised and thoroughly reviewed to improve system performance and user experience.

This activity is designed to streamline academic planning and administrative workflows, as the training reinforces the college’s commitment to digital proficiency and quality instruction.
