Forty years ago, the spirit of unity and courage reshaped our nation through the historic EDSA People Power Revolution. As we commemorate its 40th anniversary, we honor the bravery of Filipinos who stood together in peaceful resistance to uphold democracy and freedom. Their legacy continues to remind us that true power lies in collective action grounded in integrity and truth.

For us MSUans, this is not just a story from our history books—it is a reminder that our voices matter, too. In our own simple ways—through respectful conversations, responsible leadership, and standing up for what is right—we carry the same spirit of unity that once filled EDSA. May we choose empathy over indifference, participation over silence, and courage over fear, as we help shape the future of our university and our nation.

Typhoon Tino has left many families in Cebu struggling—homes destroyed, communities displaced, and lives deeply affected. In this time of loss, let us come together to bring hope and relief to those in need.

We are launching a Donation Drive for the affected communities in Cebu. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference.

This year’s theme reminds us that the world we dream of, one built on peace, equality, and sustainability, can only be achieved together.

Every last Monday of August, the Philippines commemorates National Heroes Day. It is a tribute to the courage of our heroes, both known and unnamed, who offered their lives for sovereignty, dignity, and the future of our people.

This 2025, we remember not only the revolutionary icons of our past but also the modern-day heroes who continue to defend, serve, and uplift our country.

This year’s observance reminds us that heroism is not confined to the battlefield. It lives in every Filipino who chooses courage, compassion, and service above self—whether in protecting our land, guiding our youth, healing the sick, or leading communities toward progress.

As social actors, let us keep the spirit of bayanihan alive. Let’s honor our heroes by becoming heroes in our own ways—standing for truth, justice, and the welfare of our kapwa.
