Ngayong Pride Month, ipinagdiriwang natin ang tapang ng bawat taong piniling maging totoo sa kanilang sarili sa kabila ng panghuhusga, diskriminasyon, at mga hamon ng lipunan. Ang pagkakaiba-iba ay hindi kahinaan—ito ang nagbibigay kulay, buhay, at lalim sa ating komunidad.

Patuloy nating yakapin ang isang mundong may paggalang, pagkakapantay-pantay, at pagmamahal para sa lahat. Sapagkat ang bawat kuwento ay mahalaga, bawat pagkakakilanlan ay may halaga, at bawat puso ay karapat-dapat mahalin at tanggapin.

A significant step forward for a smoke-free MSU GenSan.

As part of the international celebration of World No Tobaccoo Day, the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, together with other six (6) colleges in Mindanao State University, F*Nicotine, Positive Youth Development Network, and TobaccOFF Now! Community Patrollers, came together to participate in the drafting of the first-ever 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗲-𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, a strategic framework that seeks to strengthen, institutionalize, and sustain to***co prevention initiatives within the university. More than a document, the roadmap represents our collective vision of transforming to***co control from isolated campaigns into a lasting campus culture grounded in health, responsibility, and student empowerment.

Alongside the roadmap, participating colleges also contributed to the development of a 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, reaffirming our shared responsibility to safeguard students and young people from the harmful effects of to***co and emerging ni****ne products.

The participating colleges likewise signed the 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗲-𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵-𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗦𝗨 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗦𝗮𝗻, expressing their commitment to work together in advancing smoke-free advocacy, promoting student welfare, strengthening university-wide action, and sustaining the TobaccOFF Now! Movement across future generations of student leaders.

This initiative demonstrates that addressing to***co-related concerns is not the responsibility of a single organization, college, or office alone. It requires collective leadership, institutional commitment, and continuous collaboration among students, educators, administrators, and stakeholders.

Today, we are not merely drafting documents, we are laying the foundation for a healthier, safer, and more responsible university community.

Together, we move from awareness to action, from commitment to institutionalization, and from campaign to campus culture.
