L.A.K.A.S (LEADERSHIP, and KNOWLEDGE ADVANCEMENT for STUDENT)
Mental Health Advocates: Strengthening Peer Leadership, Resilience, and School-Based Mental Health Support

The Division Training on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS) for Peer Facilitators Club Officers was successfully conducted on September 9–11, 2026, at Phela Grande Hotel, General Santos City.

This training aimed to strengthen the knowledge, skills, resilience, and leadership of peer facilitators in providing appropriate mental health and psychosocial support to fellow learners and in promoting a safe, caring, and supportive school community.

Day1 : PFC members in counter the session 1-6 topic, enhancing the communication, self awareness, problem solving skills and decision making. Through this skills

Day 2: Simulation of PFA Skills
PFC members engaged in a simulation of Psychological First Aid (PFA) skills, allowing them to practice how to respond appropriately and compassionately when supporting individuals experiencing difficult situations.

Day 3: Arts, Song, and Play Therapy
The third day was a meaningful and creative experience as the Kalimudan Cultural Arts Group conducted Arts, Song, and Play Therapy. Through music, movement, creativity, and cultural expression, participants experienced how these activities can promote emotional well-being, connection, and resilience.

This training reminded us that supporting mental health starts with listening, understanding, and being there for one another. Together, we can build stronger peers, resilient learners, and more caring school communities.
