Mathematics is not always about finding the right answer. Sometimes, it is about learning how to think, decide, and find your own way forward.

Today, we proudly recognize 𝙈𝙖’𝙖𝙢 𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙚, a Grade 8 Mathematics teacher and adviser who sees teaching as more than explaining numbers and formulas. Through every lesson, she encourages her learners to trust their thinking, recognize their progress, and take ownership of their learning.

For her, teaching is a calling—a chance to be part of a student’s journey and help them develop skills that reach far beyond the classroom.

As her motto reminds us, “Calculation is only the skin of mathematics, because its heart is critical thinking, and its soul is decision-making.”

Because mathematics may teach us how to calculate, but a meaningful teacher helps us learn how to think.
