The 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 (𝐁𝐏𝐞𝐀) 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 students recently participated in an orientation for their upcoming 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 at 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐞 - 𝐒𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐬 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲.

The orientation was made possible through the coordination of 𝐒𝐢𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚, 𝐏𝐡𝐃, 𝐃𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦, 𝐃𝐇𝐮𝐦, 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐞 - 𝐒𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞, with the guidance and support of Sir 𝐈𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐨, 𝐌𝐀𝐄𝐃, 𝐌𝐂𝐀𝐒, 𝐋𝐏𝐓, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞.

The orientation was facilitated by 𝐌𝐚’𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐚 𝐆. 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐨, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫, preparing our students for an enriching immersion experience where they can apply their knowledge, strengthen their skills, and gain valuable exposure to the professional performing arts setting.

We proudly celebrate 𝗕𝗣𝗘𝗔 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗜𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗼 as he takes part in the 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 (𝗠𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗠) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, happening at the 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟭–𝟭𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

As part of MIPAM 2026, 𝗜𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗲𝗹 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗼 will be presenting the 𝗦𝗔 𝗞𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗕𝗜 𝗕𝗔𝗚𝗨 𝗦𝗨 𝗞𝗔𝗣𝗘𝗚𝗞𝗔𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗚 (𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴), a performance that tells the story of 𝗬𝘂𝘀𝗼𝗳 on the night before his wedding. Before the vows are spoken and two lives are joined, one night unfolds—a story shaped by tradition, relationships, and moments that invite audiences to witness and listen.

His participation brings a meaningful cultural narrative to the MIPAM stage, contributing to the continued celebration and recognition of Philippine performing arts.

The 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 (𝗠𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗠) is a platform that brings together performing artists, cultural workers, organizations, and industry professionals to create opportunities for artistic exchange, collaboration, networking, and the presentation of Philippine performing arts to a wider audience.

As part of MIPAM 2026, RMMC Teatro Ambahanon will present 𝗦𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗣𝗜𝗡 (𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗲), 𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗯𝘆 𝗕𝗣𝗘𝗔 𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝘂𝘀 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗽𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗾𝘂𝗲, highlighting the continuing creative practice and contributions of our alumni to the performing arts.

The group will also conduct 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲+𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗲, a choreographer’s workshop exploring the relationship between dance, movement, and space. Joining the MIPAM participation is 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝘆𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗶 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮, 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝗣𝗘𝗔 𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗻𝗶 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗽𝗵 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲-𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮.

Their participation marks another meaningful opportunity for the RMMC performing arts community to engage with artists and practitioners from across the country and beyond. This week, we shine the spotlight on 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗼 𝗜𝗸𝗮𝘁, an exhibition by artist, interior designer, dance and theater director, and cultural educator 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼 𝗥𝗲𝘆 “𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗴” 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗶ñ𝗼.

The study explores how a director-led 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲-𝗮𝘀-𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 (𝗣𝗮𝗥) approach shapes the creative and personal development of student-actors through performance, collaboration, reflective practice, and artistic inquiry. By documenting and examining the creative process, the research highlights theatre as both a powerful artistic medium and a transformative educational space.

This publication reflects Sir Ismael's dedication to advancing theatre education and performance research while bringing pride and recognition to Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges on an international academic platform.

Today, we honor the Blaan community for their rich traditions, vibrant culture, and invaluable contributions that continue to shape the identity of our city. Through their stories, music, dances, and artistry, the legacy of the Blaan people lives on, inspiring generations to embrace and preserve our shared cultural heritage.

As advocates of the performing arts, we stand in solidarity with our indigenous communities by promoting respect, appreciation, and the preservation of traditions that continue to enrich Philippine culture.
