Goldenstate Little College (GLC) – Malakas Campus conducted an Orientation on Preventing Active Shooters in Schools on August 29, 2026, in partnership with the Police Station 4 representative under the PRO 12 Campaign Plan ESKWELAHAN (Education, Knowledge, and Lawful Action).

The orientation, with PSSg Jowil D. Lumbab as guest speaker, aimed to strengthen the awareness and preparedness of GLC educators and stakeholders, particularly in response to recent incidents involving school safety and security. The discussion provided practical knowledge on recognizing potential threats, responding appropriately during emergencies, and promoting a safer school environment.

The activity also featured a self-defense demonstration, equipping participants with basic techniques for personal protection. This was followed by a simulation drill conducted together with the GLC faculty, allowing participants to apply the lessons learned and practice appropriate responses during a potential emergency situation.

Through this initiative, GLC continues to promote a culture of awareness, preparedness, and safety, while strengthening its partnership with law enforcement agencies in protecting the school community.
