In these difficult times, every act of kindness matters.

Notre Dame of Dadiangas University may have been affected by the recent earthquake last Monday, June 8. Nevertheless, we know that there are other areas more affected than us. Hence, we call on all MARISTAS, students, personnel, alumni and friends alike, let us put our Marist values of family spirit, presence and participation in action.

NDDU is currently accepting donations to support families affected by recent hardships. We encourage donations of food packs, hygiene essentials, shelter materials, blankets, clothing, and other basic necessities.

Donations may be dropped off at any NDDU campus or sent through the official donation channels indicated below.

Donations gathered will be sent to the Diocese of Marbel as they coordinate with the different parishes and GKKs in Sarangani, Gensan, and South Cotabato, who are most affected.

Together, let us extend hope, compassion, and support to those who need it most. Every donation, no matter the size, can make a difference. 🤝

‎Under the Rights of Nature, trees have the right to exist, thrive, and regenerate. Protecting them is not just an environmental duty, it is a matter of justice.

‎Every tree saved means cleaner air, cooler communities, stronger ecosystems, and a better future for generations to come.

‎The recent public stunt of “Earthballing” is NOT an acceptable substitute for real accountability. Public officials and agencies cannot mask institutional responsibility by staging highly publicized tree‑planting activities, especially when these are offered as a token replacement for every mature tree already cut. Such gestures ring hollow when the same offices continue to issue permits that enable large‑scale tree removal and deforestation. This superficial political performance cannot offset the irreversible ecological loss caused by the destruction of mature trees, which serve as critical natural buffers in an already climate‑vulnerable city. True leadership demands protecting our remaining ecological heritage and urban green shields, not greenwashing their destruction, particularly amid worsening climate impacts.‎
