𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 | 𝙈𝙧. 𝙆𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙊𝙝 𝙆𝙞𝙢 𝙫𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙨 𝙉𝙎𝙉𝙃𝙎

New Society National High School’s major stakeholder, Mr. Kwang Oh Kim, returned to the school for the second time to witness the Korean Division’s Festival of Talents 2026.

The said event was conducted on March 23, 2026 at Kwang Myung Gymnasium, with the theme "𝘍𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘛𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴: 𝘉𝘳𝘪𝘥𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘊𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴, 𝘊𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘛𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘛𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘒𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦".

Students from the Special Program in Foreign Language–Korean (SPFL-K) warmly welcomed Mr. Kim along with the other visitors, as majorettes and musical instruments filled the air while they greeted guests from Korea.

SPFL-K's President, Aleiah Lexx Sagayno, emphasized that the event played a significant role in enhancing the recognition and appreciation of SPFL-K students while promoting korean culture.

"Through events like this, people would notice and have interest in learning Korean culture", Sagayno expressed.

The Teen Support Group (TSG) Organization, in collaboration with the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG) , English teachers, and the guidance staff, organized the Career Guidance Summit 2026.

With the theme “Shaping Future: Empowering Learners for College and Career Success", the event was held at Kwang Myung Gymnasium of New Society National High School on March 10, 2026.

Guidance Councilor, Dindo V. Salamanca emphasized that the program was conducted to provide Grade 10 and Grade 12 students with guidance in selecting appropriate academic and career paths, with the goal of preventing job mismatch in the future.

"Career guidance summit is actually mendated by the Department of Education, that we have to conduct that yearly. Because knowing that we are in the academ, our students must be prepared for their future career in life." Salamanca expressed.

Salamanca added that simple career guidance activities help students visualize their future professions and motivate them to achieve their goals. Students are also prepared for the future by learning how to write application letters and answer interview questions.

"We wanted to address job mismatch or skill mismatch, pero dapat kung ano yung hilig mo yun ang gusto mo yun ang dapat makukuha mo."
