𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝟏 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩

Faculty members of the MSU General Santos College of Medicine, together with colleagues from the College of Health Sciences, participated in the Learning and Educational Assessment Development (LEAD) Tier 1 Workshop conducted by the Center for Curriculum Studies and Instructional Designing (CCSID) on July 29, 2026.

The workshop brought together an overwhelming number of faculty members from the College of Medicine and the College of Health Sciences for a day of collaborative learning on the development of Tables of Specifications, test construction, and rubric development. These sessions strengthened faculty competencies in designing valid, reliable, and outcomes-based assessments.

The College of Medicine looks forward to the succeeding tiers of the LEAD Workshop. We extend our sincere appreciation to the CCSID for organizing this meaningful faculty development initiative, which directly benefits our students and contributes to the continuous enhancement of medical education.

From the creativity and spirit showcased during the Banner Presentation and Bench Cheering to the camaraderie built through the Team-Building Challenges and the excitement of the Modified Quiz Bee, every moment reflected the heart of MedStart 2026. The day concluded with an Awarding Ceremony that celebrated not only achievements, but also the dedication, teamwork, and resilience that brought each team together.

With every cheer, challenge, and shared victory, another thread was woven into our collective story. Though each team carries its own colors, traditions, and identity, we are united by one purpose—to learn, to uplift one another, and to grow into future physicians who lead with both competence and compassion.

The Pinning Ceremony marked another meaningful milestone as our Year Level II and III students proudly received their pins—a symbol of belonging, responsibility, and the shared commitment to uphold the values of the medical profession.
