In response to the Magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck on June 8, 2026, the MSU-GSC College of Medicine, the Society of Medical Students (SOMEDS), the Muslim Association of Medical Students (M**S), and the Society of Life Sciences Students (SOLSS) are launching a donation drive to provide immediate assistance to 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙤𝙨𝙨 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙨 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮 who have been affected by the disaster.

This initiative aims to support healthcare operations and attend to the urgent needs of patients during this challenging time.

Last May 19, 2026, Batch Harinawa together with their parents gathered at the MSU-General Santos College of Medicine Auditorium for the Parent-Student Orientation as part of the Pre-Clerkship Program.

The orientation featured insightful discussions from Dr. Joceyln S. Frial, Dr. Krystle Marie F. Niñora, Dr. Jenifer D. Galia, Dr. Analyza D. Galia-Gabuay, Dr. Eva B. Hormigos, and Dr. Edwin C. Alconcel, who shared valuable guidance on the realities, expectations, and responsibilities of clerkship.

A fruitful open forum also allowed students and parents to ask questions, raise concerns, and better understand the journey ahead as Batch Harinawa takes one step closer toward becoming a 𝑫𝒂𝒍𝒖𝒃𝒉𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑫𝒐𝒌𝒕𝒐𝒓, 𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑫𝒐𝒌𝒕𝒐𝒓.
