What began as a simple act of educational outreach decades ago has evolved into a life-changing partnership that continues to transform communities, one learner, one family and one teacher at a time.
Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Colleges (RMMC) Graduate School strengthened its commitment to educational empowerment by doubling the beneficiaries of its Akbay Agapay Outreach Program, since 2025, from 20 to 40 learners at Paopao Elementary School at Purok Paopao, Barangay Sinawal, General Santos City, signaling a renewed and expanded mission.
The Akbay Agapay Outreach Program under the leadership of the school’s president, Kristoffer Franz Mari R. Millado, EdD, has long stood as a testament to RMMC Graduate School's enduring belief that quality education extends beyond classroom walls. While formally institutionalized as part of the Graduate School's extension initiatives, the spirit of the program has existed for decades through sustained community engagement and educational support provided to partner schools which is implemented twice annually.

On May 30, 2026, the outreach program again brings together Master of Arts in Education (MAED) students and faculty members who dedicate their time and expertise to addressing the academic and social needs of learners and educators at the said school. Activities include technical assistance for teachers in lesson planning and instructional strategies, parental engagement sessions that strengthen home-school partnerships, literacy interventions, and the distribution of school supplies to learners.
A unique strength of this partnership lies in the fact that several teachers from Paopao Elementary School are themselves enrolled in the MAED program at RMMC Graduate School. This creates a dynamic cycle of professional growth and knowledge sharing, where educational innovations learned in graduate studies are immediately applied in classrooms and communities.

The program's impact extends beyond elementary education. Pupils as beneficiaries receive continuous encouragement and mentorship to pursue secondary and higher education. Many then are inspired to continue their educational journey and eventually enroll at RMMC, where they continue receiving guidance and support, creating a sustainable pathway toward lifelong learning.
Faculty members led by the Graduate School Dean, Emie A. Genton, PhD, LPT and supervision of the Executive Director For Academic Affairs, Geraldine D. Rodriguez, EdD, PhD, LPT alike view the initiative as a powerful expression of the institution's mission. By integrating instruction, research, and community service, Akbay Agapay demonstrates how higher education institutions can create lasting impact beyond academic requirements.

The outreach program also contributes directly to the attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 on Quality Education by promoting inclusive and equitable learning opportunities, and SDG 17 on Partnerships for the Goals through sustained collaboration among RMMC Graduate School, Paopao Elementary School, parents and community stakeholders.
As the program continues to grow through the years and expands its vision for the future, the RMMC Graduate School continues to prove that true educational leadership is not only found within institutions, but also in the communities they uplift and empower.

Dear Aspirants, Magandang RMMC! We would like to inform you that the Comprehensive Examination is scheduled to take place on 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟲-𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟔 𝗮𝘁 𝗔𝗚𝗠 𝟮𝟬𝟮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗚𝗠 𝟮𝟎𝟔.
Please note that each exam will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. It is important that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of each exam. Also, please take note of the following guidelines for the examination day:
-Bring your student ID/CompanY ID for identification purposes.
-Bring your scientific calculator for the Stat exam.
-𝘿𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙘 𝙙𝙚𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙨, 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙥𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨, 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢.
-Be mindful of the examination regulations, such as not talking or communicating with fellow students during the exam.
-Bring your snacks/lunch.
-Ensure that seating arrangement is followed.
-Going outside the examination room is strictly prohibited except for cases beyond human control, like nausea, LBM, and other personal necessities. Notice should immediately be given to be accompanied by the proctor.
-Once the Compre Exam Booklet is submitted and the examinee has left the exam room already, retrieval of the booklet is NOT ALLOWED.
-Wear your Department T-Shirt for Day 1 and Graduate School T-shirt for Day 2 if possible.
