Leadership and democracy came alive at Sinawal Elementary School as the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) Election for School Year 2026โ2027 officially began. On February 4, 2026, the SELG Adviser, Ms. Claudine Siwo, formally announced the opening of the filing of candidacy. Excitement filled the campus as aspiring young leaders prepared themselves to take on greater responsibilities in serving their fellow pupils.
From February 9โ13, 2026, two dynamic parties were formed by the aspirants: the DREAM Party and the HEART Party. The DREAM Party, which stands for Determined and Responsible pupils who are Excited to serve the community through our Amazing Teamwork in Making a Difference, and the HEART Party, meaning Honest pupils who are ready to Empower others and make them Active in School through Responsible and Trustworthy Leadership, immediately filed and submitted their certificates of candidacy. Both parties were driven by passion, dedication, and a shared goal of making a positive difference in the school community.
On February 16, 2026, the campaign period officially began. Each party embarked on a journey of persuading their fellow pupils through classroom-to-classroom campaigns. With confidence and enthusiasm, they presented their platforms of government, shared their visions for the school, and performed their energetic party yells. Both parties were eager to win, yet they demonstrated sportsmanship and respect throughout the campaign period.
The much-awaited Election Day took place on February 24, 2026. With the assistance of the Commissioners and the outgoing SELG Officers, the manual election process was carefully facilitated. Ballots were prepared, and each pupil shaded the name of the candidate they wished to elect. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation as votes were cast responsibly and orderly.
After hours of manual counting and tallying of votes, the results were finally announced. The following pupils were officially proclaimed as the newly elected SELG Officers of Sinawal Elementary School for School Year 2026โ2027:

On March 2, 2026, the newly elected SELG Officers formally took their Oath of Office at the Principalโs Office. The oath-taking ceremony was administered by the School Principal, Sir Ely Bobbylord C. Alamin. Before administering the oath, Sir Alamin reminded the young leaders that holding a position does not mean being the boss; rather, it means being responsible leaders who set good examples for others. He emphasized that true leadership is about service, integrity, and making a positive impact on the entire school community.
The SELG Election 2026โ2027 was not just about winning positionsโit was a celebration of democracy, leadership, and the commitment of young learners to serve. With hearts ready to lead and dreams determined to succeed, the newly elected officers are set to begin a meaningful journey of service for Sinawal Elementary School.
