Student leaders of the Junior Institute of Human Resource Managers (JIHRM) at Mindanao State Universityโ€“General Santos City gathered last September 18 at the AV-R Library for the 3rd Student Leadership Summit and Well-being Forum. With the theme โ€œRehumanizing Leadership, Rebuilding Communities,โ€ the summit merged mental health check-ins with essential leadership workshopsโ€”inspiring student advocates to lead with mindfulness, empathy, and cultural integrity.

Through this initiative by the OVCSAS, JIHRM leaders were equipped to rise beyond challenges, embracing holistic well-being to foster stronger, more compassionate communities.

One of the most random yet beautiful improvements Iโ€™ve witnessed na makaingon ko, โ€œNaa gyud diay pag-asa ang Pilipinasโ€ is seeing you become part of an organization. Kay ikaw baya tong klase sa tawo nga murag limited edition ang energy, very selective kung asa gamiton, and allergic gamay sa daghang trabaho. Mao nang seeing you now willingly taking on responsibilities and stepping outside your comfort zone is something I never thought I would see, but I am genuinely proud of.

But I remember what you wrote in our senior high school yearbook as your dream: โ€œTo be the best version of myself.โ€ And looking at you now, I can say that youโ€™re slowly becoming exactly that. Not because youโ€™ve become perfect, but because you continue to learn, grow, step outside your comfort zone, and become better than who you were yesterday.

Keep shining and keep becoming the person you aspire to be. Iโ€™ll always be here, cheering for you every step of the way. ๐Ÿค

โ€œMay every new chapter bring you closer to the person youโ€™ve always wanted to become.โ€

Happy birthday. ๐Ÿ’–
Keep shining, my cutest captionist. ๐ŸŒทโœจ
