Isang Pagpupugay sa Yaman ng Ating Kultura! 🇵🇭

To dance the story, you must first know the rhythm. 🌟

Beyond mastering choreography, grounded traditional dance requires a deep connection to the live music that drives it. In our latest training session, our dancers traded the floor for the musical pool, learning to play traditional instruments including the Kulintang, Agung, and Gandingan.

Honoring tradition, one beat at a time. 🪘

𝗔𝗧𝗠 | 𝗥𝗵𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴💚

The performers of the HTC – Handuraw Dance Ensemble underwent a music training session led by the ensemble’s instrumentalists. The training focused on developing their musicality, rhythm, timing, and coordination to help them better connect their movements with the music.
Through this activity, the performers gained a deeper appreciation of the role of music in dance while strengthening their teamwork and performance skills.
