DepEd RXII Jose R. Lansang Elementary School

Jose R. Lansang Elementary School successfully conducted the distribution of Psychosocial Support Activities, Self-Learning Modules (SLMs), and Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) for the implementation of Modular Distance Learning from Kindergarten to Grade 6.

With the support and cooperation of parents, guardians, teachers, and school personnel learning materials were distributed efficiently to ensure that all learners continue to receive quality education. The Psychosocial Support Activities were also provided to help promote the emotional well-being and resilience of our learners during this difficult time.

The school extend its heartfelt gratitude to all parents and guardians who took time to claim the learning materials, to our dedicated teachers for their commitment and hard work, and to our Principal Ma'am Sheila Joy Penol Alcalen with our AO II Ma'am Marizel Talatagod for providing the needed materials.

As we continue to face challenges,

Our school successfully conducted the Orientation on the Provision of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS) for Teachers aimed at strengthening the awareness, resilience, and well-being of our educators. The activity highlighted the importance of mental health in fostering a positive, supportive learning environment, and equipped participants with valuable knowledge and strategies to promote psychosocial well-being in both personal and professional setting.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Rusty Shake M. Patricio, Guidance Advocate of Alagao National High School for serving as our resource speaker. Through his insightful discussions and practical sharing of experiences the participants gained a deeper understanding of the significance of self-care, emotional resilience, and providing support to colleagues and learners during challenging situations.

This meaningful activity reaffirmed our commitment to nurturing not only the academic growth of our learners but also the mental and emotional wellness of our school personnel.
May the learnings gained from this orientation inspire us prioritize mental health, foster a culture of empathy, and build a healthier and more resilient school community.

As to Schools Division of General Santos City, class is suspended until further notice.

As we officially opened School Year 2026-2027, our learners, parents, and visitors gathered at the school covered court for our Flag Ceremony filled with hope and enthusiasm as we welcome our learners back to school.

However an earthquake struck while we are about to let our learners proceed to their respective classrooms. Amid this unexpected event, we witnessed the strength, composure, and unity of everyone.

With grateful hearts we give our highest praise and thanksgiving to our Almighty God for HIS divine protection. Despite the strong earthquake all learners, parents, teachers, and visitors remained safe and no casualties were reported. HIS grace and mercy were truly evident as HE watched over us.

This experience serves as a powerful reminder that while challenges may arise as long as there is preparedness, cooperation, and faith we may be able to face it with courage and resilience. We also extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who remained calm and followed safety protocols during the incident.

As we begin this new academic year, may this moment strengthen our commitment to a safe, caring, and resilient learning environment for all.
