I am Angel Faye D. Gesolgani, a Registered Radiologic Technologist. I began my career as an X-ray Technologist and have since advanced to become a Vascular Sonographer at GSDH. As I navigate adulthood, I continue to balance my career, my studies, and my life as a young woman in her twenties.
The most memorable experience I had during my time at NDDUโIBED Espina Campus was spending four years as a young catechist. Through this experience, I met many children, learned their stories, and had the opportunity to teach them about God and the beauty of His creation. Every Wednesday, I eagerly looked forward to our club meetings because we were always welcomed with warm hugs and cheerful smiles. Those moments ignited my passion for advocating for children and supporting their education.
I was greatly inspired by Sir Joey, who made me appreciate Physics, a subject that later became highly relevant to the course I pursued in college. Because of the strong foundation he provided, I consistently earned high grades in Physics-related subjects and found it much easier to understand complex concepts. I was also inspired by Brother Ernie, whose Philosophy classes broadened my perspective. Our discussions made me more socially aware and open-minded about the realities of life and the challenges our country faces today. He taught me to view situations from different perspectives.
The values I learned from NDDUโIBED Espina Campus continue to guide me in my profession. One of the values that has stayed with me is the Marist belief in equality, as exemplified by St. Marcellin Champagnat's love for all children. I carry this principle into my work by treating every patient with the same level of care, compassion, and respect, regardless of their background or social status. I also learned the importance of living simply, staying grounded, and keeping my faith in God at the center of everything I do.
After graduation, I immediately prepared for the board examination. During my review, I experienced anxiety because I was living alone in an unfamiliar city. Although I believed in my abilities, the loneliness I felt sometimes shook my confidence. I overcame that challenge by strengthening my faith. I began and ended each day by praying the Rosary. As a Catholic, I am grateful that NDDUโIBED Espina Campus taught me not only how to pray but also how to face life's challenges with faith and spirituality.
The achievement I am most proud of is passing the Radiologic Technologist Licensure Examination. It opened the doors to a career that has allowed me to grow professionally and enjoy opportunities that once seemed beyond my reach.
NDDUโIBED Espina Campus prepared me for where I am today by shaping me into a responsible, disciplined, and well-rounded individual. College was not as overwhelming because I had already developed good study habits, a strong sense of responsibility, and the confidence to excel while still embracing my individuality. I learned to build meaningful friendships, participate in activities beyond academics, and manage my responsibilities effectively. Even during the difficult months of preparing for my board examination, my confidence never wavered because the discipline and resilience I developed were deeply rooted in my years at NDDUโIBED Espina Campus.
To the students of NDDUโIBED Espina Campus, my advice is simple: Do everything with God and for God. When you place Him at the center of your life, He will guide your path and bless every journey you choose to pursue.
